Amazing!! Absolutely stunning. I purchased these for our showroom. They fit so well. Vendor was very professional and she was able to answer all of my questions. These coasters are very well made. The cork is cut beautifully. They came in a box with a cute little note. Thank you! CP

About

Clean mod design with a tactile handmade quality.

Hello! My name is Stephanie Albares and I run Saltbush Avenue. It all began as a blog about stylishly updating my mid-century-modest home, and then grew into this passion project of creating home decor using beautifully tactile materials. I design + make every item myself in my Hobart home or at the local Tas TAFE letterpress studio.

As a working graphic designer (and a 7+ year migrant myself) I'm fascinated by the homes that people create for themselves, and all the regional quirks that make each one feel comfortable and familiar.

I like typography, plainspoken midmod aesthetics, and checking in on my garden with my cat helper. I'm originally from Phoenix, Arizona (with a BFA in printmaking from ASU) and have been living in Tasmania for several years now. I love cacti as much as anybody but Australian plants are endlessly weird and special.

Frequently asked questions

International shipping + delivery from Australia

The shipping time from Australia to other parts of the world can vary. 8-12 working days seems to be my experience in shipping items to the US and the UK.
If you need a faster delivery option, please select Priority at checkout (6-8 business days) or get in touch with me.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I like to re-use shipping boxes where I can, or use kraft packaging and recycled boxboard. All prints will be sent in a cello sleeve for protection against the elements, since most of my products have to travel a long way from Australia. If you would like gift-wrapping for a product, just let me know.

Wholesale availability

The details are still being worked out for this, but I hope to start dispatching stock to local boutiques in 2018. If you're interested in any particular products or lines, please contact me and I'd be glad to see what we can do.

Custom letterpress orders

I'd be delighted to work with you on a custom letterpress commission. Recently I printed the business cards and swing tags for Ivi Made, a luxury Tasmanian maker of minimalist kangaroo-leather accessories.

(However, please bear in mind: Due to the labour-intensive nature of vintage letterpress machinery, my letterpress commissions require a 100+ impression minimum, or 50+ for two-colour designs.)
