Disappointing customer service. Etsy had to intervene so that I could get receive a refund.

We are sorry you were disappointed with your order. But intentionally ruining a product that was final sale in order to receive a refund is against our store policies. Had you contacted us with concerns before you broke the zipper, we would have been happy to take back to product for a refund. Next time I suggest you contact the shop before destroying the product. Remarkable! It is a beautiful bag - thoughtful design and superior construction! The leather is soft yet sturdy. I LOVE IT! It is perfect for carrying my sketchbook, iPad, pens, pencils, etc. Just what I was looking for.

Shipping
We currently ship using USPS Priority mail Monday through Friday.
Shipping within the US: Freight is based on weight. All domestic packages are insured.
Outside the US: Freight is based on weight. To insure the cost of your package, we suggest taking the more costly "Insured" shipping option.

We will ship items within 2 - 3 business days of purchase and you will receive an email notification with tracking once your order has shipped. We ship to the address provided. Most of our products are made to order, please see the product page for more details as shipment might take longer. Rush shipping is available upon request only. Please email us prior to ordering. We track our domestic packages to ensure delivery and Priority Mail will be insured in case of lost packages. International orders are not insured. If you wish to insure your order, please choose the "International Insured" option at checkout. All orders over $200 will require a signature confirmation. We are not responsible for packages that are confirmed as delivered but subsequently missing or stolen.

COUNTRY RESTRICTIONS: We do NOT ship to Italy.
Refunds and Exchanges
We accept returns and exchanges on all our items (excluding sale) with the following guidelines:

We only accept returns/exchanges postmarked within 7 days of receiving the item.

The item/s must be in original condition, with all tags still attached.

Item/s must not have been used or altered in any way.

The item/s must be returned to our studio before the exchange/refund is made.

The cost of the original freight and return to the warehouse will not be reimbursed or refunded.

HOLIDAY RETURNS: Items purchased after November 15 must be returned by January 7 in order to receive a full refund, minus all shipping charges. Items with tags removed and that show any wear will not be accepted for a return.

MOVING SALE: Items purchased during the moving sale are final sale and cannot be returned.

ARE RETURNS FREE?
The shipping cost incurred for returning item/s to SALT SHOPPE for an exchange or refund are NOT covered or reimbursed by us.

HOW DO I RETURN?
Simply email bonjour [!at] salt-shoppe.com and we will give you all the step-by-step instructions & details you need. Please note we are unable to be held liable for the loss of your item being returned. We recommend using a registered postal service to return goods, and keeping a record of the tracking details.

WHERE DO I SEND MY RETURNED ITEM?
The studio moves around a lot since my husband is in the military. We will provide you with the full address after you contact us about the return.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR MY EXCHANGE / REFUND TO BE PROCESSED?
We try and process returns as quickly as possible, but we do ask for up to 48 hours to be able to process your return. For exchanges, we will send your new piece/s out and email you a tracking number. For refunds, we will refund you through the same method you used to pay and email you a confirmation once complete.

WHAT IF MY ORDER ARRIVES DAMAGED?
We hope this never happens however if the off chance you do receive damaged goods, or have a manufacturing fault occur, please contact us straight away at bonjour [!at] salt-shoppe.com so we can help to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. PLEASE BE ADVISED we do not offer returns or exchanges on damaged zippers due to abuse by prior customers. All items are inspected before shipment and packed tightly in bubble mailers or boxes.

MY HANDBAG HAS IMPERFECTIONS IN THE LEATHER.
Since we use genuine leather, each cow hide is subject to random blemishes and inconsistencies. We do not consider these "imperfections," but only adds to the uniqueness of the handbag. No part of the leather hide is wasted as we use as much of it as possible.

I DON'T LIKE THE BLEMISHES ON MY HANDBAG, WHAT CAN I DO?
If you do not like the particular handbag you've received, you are welcome to a return or exchange. Because the little blemishes are considered unique, and not a defect, we do not cover any of the shipping costs for an exchange. Once we receive the handbag at our studio, we will ship out a new one.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

My husband is active duty in the United States Coast Guard, which means we are subject to moving every couple of years. We are currently located in New London, CT.

WHERE DO YOU SHIP TO?

We ship worldwide. Excluding Italy.

WHEN WILL MY ITEMS SHIP?

Most of my items are MADE TO ORDER. Most items will ship out in under seven days. Please see the product description for detailed information. This does not include transit times.

DO YOU DO CUSTOM ORDERS?

I do not take any custom orders at this time.

WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR MATERIALS FROM?

Most of the materials I work with are sourced locally in the United States. Others are sourced from around the world. All of the sewing is done on an industrial machine in my studio.

CAN YOU RUSH MY ORDER?

IS IT SAFE TO ORDER FROM YOUR ONLINE STORE?

Absolutely, we do not store any credit card details nor do we share your personal information with any third party.

DO YOU OFFER PRICE ADJUSTMENTS?

If you have recently purchased items that are now on sale, we will gladly offer you a price adjustment if the original date of shipment was within 24 hours of the sale offering. All credits will be applied in US dollars and your credit card company will calculate the current exchange rate automatically. We do not offer price adjustments on shipping charges.
