I started The Salty Wench started as a booth at a Renaissance Faire that sold Chain Maille jewelry and costumes. I took a long break due to illness. Though along the way I picked up several new crafts to keep myself sane.
Everything I make would fit right in at a Renaissance Faire or craft Bazaar, yet also would feel at home in almost any situation. I started off doing chain maille , then moved on to chain maille jewelry. Then beading, and now knitting. So the end result is a mix of beads, chain maille, and raw stones that gives my work a very organic and home grown feel. I hope you like it

My newest obsession is sewn cotton bowls. I am planning on dying them next.
So many hobbies, so little time.
Long story short, I have too many hobbies. I started making chainmaille to help keep myself sane during a long illness. The problem was that everything seems interesting to me. Chainmaille turned into chainmaille jewelry. That turned into beaded jewelry. Then everything just exploded into every direction. I do knitting, fuse beads, chainmaille, candles, sewn bowls, jewelry, and am starting to get into making bath products. There always seems to be a new technique and hobby to try.
My health is still not great, so I putter around experiment when I am feeling too cooped up. A day curled up with a good movie, a cup of tea, and new knitting design is just my speed.

In the case of chain maille bracelets (and some of the beaded ones), I offer free sizing. Just sent me the measurement, in inches or cm, of how long you want it to be and I'll make the necessary changes before sending it to you.

If you cancel your order before it has been shipped, a full refund will be given.
Shipping
Shipping price is based on weight and size of the item. Most items ship to the Continental US for $4-8. International shipping is generally $15-18. Upgrades to USPS Priority are also available.

Just about anything made out of Chianmaille links can be made in any of the colors available to me. The current line of colors I use has been discontinued, so I am switching to another line of colors. Contact me for color availability.
