I love this. Have had my eye on it for the longest time. It's going up in my office (I'm in the process of relocating it). Now that I have this art print, I realize it's much more complex than I'd thought (if you look closely, you can see so many hidden images; it's like a Rorschach effect, plus I could see hanging it a few different ways and seeing unexpected images emerge; very cool). Shop owner is so pleasant, and I've enjoyed my shopping experiences with her. I have another of her prints (Gnarled Tree; it's beautiful!) and love that one as well. Thanks so much!

About

A place for creative sparks to ignite

I am a multidisciplinary artist who paints, draws, sculpts, creates puppets, lives at night and loves chocolate. A multicultural nomad, my two creative homes are Montreal in Canada, and Montpellier in France. I can often be found out and about the city, giving away smiles and selling my art at various craft fairs and exhibitions. My multidisciplinary background (a Bachelor in Biology, another in English and Film, and a graduate degree in puppet theatre) strongly nourishes my artistic practice. My paintings are often filled with whimsical creatures that seem lost, floating in undefinable worlds that are colorful and strange. I work in an intuitive manner, these creatures and places emerging out of initially abstract colors and shapes. Or sometimes, I lingers in the abstract, letting the mind fragment on these shapes, tell its own story. Through this process, I strive to explore the hidden, the subconscious, the places of the mind that are forgotten, and mysterious places of beauty. What keeps me awake at night are these creatures in our minds - the ones we don't always know are there.

I am a self-taught artist that has lived in 4 different countries and dabbled in many different fields : I have two Bachelor degrees, one in biology and one in film and English literature, and have also completed a graduate degree in puppet theatre. These explorations into different fields are all little puzzle pieces that have built up my artistic practice and brought it to where it is today - a world perched on the edge of the real and the imaginary, which sometimes spills over on one side, or the other. Ink and watercolor are my favored tools when I draw or paint: their fluidity creates a constant tight-rope balance between letting the medium go and purposefully bringing it somewhere. It is fascinating, terrifying and exhilarating. However, just as I have determinedly wandered into different fields of knowledge, I also wander among the multitudes of artistic tools that are available today, and sometimes pick up graphite pencils, engraving techniques, ink pens, and dry pastel pencils. In this state of constantly shifting materials, which constantly pushes my boundaries, my passion and commitment to drawing out the images that arise from within remains unwavering.

** Packaging**
I put a lot of love and time into hand packaging my items.
The prints are printed on beautiful canvas paper, that looks and feels like an original. The paper I use is 30% recycled paper and printed in an eco-friendly print shop. I try to make the online colors match the real product colors as much as possible - However, there might be slight differences in color, due to variations with computer screens.
I hope you like the products you receive. Please let me know if you don't: a happy you makes a happy me! :)
