Split fountain printing, or “rainbow roll,” is a time-honored technique for printing more than one color in a single pass.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Stonewall, we decided to get back to the root of the original controversy: butt stuff.
“Hot” off the press! We love working with original wood type, many of our wooden typefaces dating back to the late 1800s!
Look for our next update for a look at the type locked up and ready to print!

About

Queer punks printing in poorly ventilated spaces

Our journey began on first date back in 2010 when Mike and Shaun discovered that they both shared a love for letterpress printing. A long and excited conversation on the history of graphic design and relief printing was followed shortly by cohabitation. A year later we bought our first press, an Adana 8x5. In 2014, after years of saving and searching, we secured a 1949 Vandercook 3 proofing press for larger pieces.
