Announcement   All of the items you see in my shop are COMPLETELY handmade by me! Even my glazes are made from ceramic ingredients and by hand. They are colorful and completely food safe. I think it will be obvious where my inspiration comes from. I live in a very small town in the Green Mountain National Forest in Vermont and am surrounded by my gardens...both veggie and flowers...and those both wild and domestic! I grew up going to the beach for summer vacations and started a sea shell collection when I was 5 years old. That's now a lot of years folks! And when in my 50's I went to the Univ of Florida for my master's in ceramics, I was once again greatly influenced by the colors and shapes from our oceans. Here in my Vermont studios, these inspirations continue to inspire, and hope I'll be able to continue working well into my 100's!

For unique ornaments please visit www.sandrasshop.etsy.com.

FOR ORDERS OUTSIDE THE U.S., PLEASE CONVO ME FOR EXACT SHIPPING COSTS and please include your address and item interested in having mailed. I will then add the shipping costs for your country to the listing and convo you back with the information for you to decide IF you want to make the purchase.

I was fortunate to live near the artist, and personally visit with her to pick up this wonderful little mug. I love drinking out of the contoured lip, and it's the perfect size for my morning coffee. Very much enjoyed meeting Sandra and seeing her workshop & wares. She is an amazingly talented woman whose home is a masterpiece of art.

Welcome and thank you so much for shopping at my Gallery. All my pottery is one-of-a-kind and made by me in my Vermont home/studio. I am excited to think that it will bring as much joy to you as it was in the making. Please read my policies before making your purchase, and of course, feel free to convo me with any questions you might have.

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
  • Buy with Apple Pay
  • Pay with Sofort
  • Pay with iDeal
  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
I prefer immediate payment with PayPal, unless you are ordering more than one piece going to the same address or want an item shipped express or sent to an international address. Convo me and I will adjust the shipping to reflect changes before you make your payment. I ship within one to 3 days from time I receive payment, generally the same day if the PO is open. However, in all fairness, if payment is not made within three days, I will cancel the transaction and relist the item. Residents of Vermont will be charged sales tax.
Shipping
The shipping costs are USPS first class, parcel post, or priority and primarily covering actual costs which include insurance and delivery confirmation, but may also include costs associated with the packaging and handling. In all cases within the US, I will send you the delivery confimation number as soon as your package is mailed. This way, you can follow it's progress from Vermont to you front door! All items are double boxed and double bubbled or peanutted, using sturdy cardboard boxes for safe travel. Occasionally, with larger items or multiple items to one address, I will use FedEx Ground to keep your costs down. This might add another day or two, since I have to drive it down the mountain to drop it off, and I generally only do this once a week. If your purchase is a gift and you convo me with the occasion when ordering, I will wrap it with appropriate and beautiful paper and ribbon. And let me know if you want me to include a handwritten note along with my card in the package, and what that note should say.
Refunds and Exchanges
Because I double box and double bubble wrap my art work, I don't expect breakage in transit. Items over $100 are insured and with delivery confirmation. Know on wood, but there has never been a shipment lost or damaged and I'm feeling that USPS is doing a much better job these days than in the past.
I really only want satisfied customers who are delighted with their purchase from me. If however, there is a reason you are not satisfied then I need a convo from you within five days of receipt. The buyer would be responsible for safe return of work and return shipping costs and then a replacement or credit for the item will be made.
Additional policies and FAQs
Alchemy, custom orders, wholesale & consignment:
I am happy to fit custom work into my schedule, but warn you that that would be at least six to eight weeks to fit it into my making cycle. Requests that require custom colors (since I make all my own glazes) might even require more time, since testing would have to be done first. Please know however, that I already have several hundred tried and true glazes to choose from. Convo me with details or requests.
I do not do wholesale or consignment since I do not do production work. Instead, all my pieces are one of a kind, with long hours of work in the details of construction and glazing, and yet keep my prices down and competitive with production potters by selling direct using Etsy.

Pottery Care:
With obvious exceptions such as electrified lamps or intricate sculptural pieces, most of my pottery work is dishwasher safe and microwavable. I won't work with any dangerous glaze materials, so all work that has contact with food is food safe. However, very elegant and special pieces that have handsculpted attachments in the design are for special occasion, and deserve special care in it's handling. For these pieces, loving hand washing should be an added pleasure!

Conditions of Use:
Unfortunately, there are a few irresponsible people out in this world today who would take advantage of others at every opportunity....such as letting a small infant play with checker pieces or a child with an electric cord! So I have to say....
When you purchase anything from Sandra Lance Pottery or Sandras Gallery with Etsy, you agree to hold Sandra Lance harmless from any loss, damage or injury due to any products purchased from us. Our maximum liability to you is the amount you paid for the item(s) purchased.

and in addition....
I reserve the right to update and change these policies at any time.
