Onde ele viajou, o que tinha visto, quem era o dono?
É a minha maneira de desacelerar e me conectar com o passado em nosso mundo digital moderno.
Acredito na criação de sacos bem trabalhados, funcionais e duráveis de forma ambiental e socialmente responsável usando materiais vintage, reaprorgados, recuperados e ecológicos.
Toda a magia de criação acontece no meu estúdio de costura em Charlotte, NC. Depois de trocar a vida agitada da cidade no Brooklyn, NY por dias mais ensolarados no sul, continuo me inspirando em meus arredores. Viajante ao longo da vida e sonhador ininterrupto, me inspiro nos muitos lugares que vivi e visitei ao redor do mundo, encontrando beleza infinita na complexidade das cidades e na simplicidade da natureza.
Estou igualmente inspirado pelo ato de fazer as coisas à mão. Ao ser um criador, propositalmente e pensativo eu infundimo cada peça com seu próprio personagem criando e colocando novas histórias.
Pesquisando de longe, coleciono tecidos vintage e único e busco materiais que de outra forma seriam esquecidos ou descartados. Esta prática empresta a cada saco do Mapa de Sans sua própria personalidade individual emprestada de sua antiga, ou há muito esquecida, vida... o que quer que isso possa ter sido.
O nome Sans Map é a combinação da palavra francesa "sem" e a palavra inglesa "mapa", fundindo os dois mundos entre os qual vivo e o amor.
Sans Map é minha filosofia: viver a vida como ela vem, tomar o caminho inexplorante e abraçar o inesperado. Vivendo a vida sem um mapa...

O Sans Map promete estar atento ao meio ambiente enquanto faz escolhas inteligentes de negócios e continua o segmento que liga o passado a um futuro consciente e sustentável.
Todo o couro no Mapa de Sans é cuidadosamente selecionado e originado de remanescentes da indústria ou cuidadosamente reaproveitado de roupas de couro.
Costuras originais, costuras ou bolsos e imperfeições naturais de couro emprestam à qualidade única das bolsas Sans Map, nenhum dos dois será exatamente igual.
Ao incorporar couro recuperado e reaproveitado em meus projetos e utilizar têxteis existentes, a necessidade de consumir matérias-primas é muito reduzida.
Quando novos ou recuperados novos tecidos são incorporados em meus projetos, eu me esforço para obter fonte
de fabricantes de alta qualidade e boas práticas e aqueles que produzem tecidos como algodão orgânico certificado e tecidos sustentáveis como cânhamo, bambu e fibras recicladas.

It’s my way of slowing down and connecting to the past in our modern digital world.
I believe in creating well-crafted, functional, and durable bags in an environmentally and socially responsible manner using vintage, re-purposed, reclaimed and eco-friendly materials.
All the creating magic happens in my sewing studio in Charlotte, NC. After trading busy city life in Brooklyn, NY for sunnier days in the south, I continue to draw upon my surroundings for inspiration. A lifelong traveler and non-stop dreamer, I am inspired by the many places I have lived and visited around the world, finding endless beauty in the complexity of cities and the simplicity of nature.
I am equally inspired by the act of making things by hand. By being a maker, purposefully and thoughtfully I infuse each piece with its own character creating and layering new stories.
Searching far and wide, I collect vintage and one of a kind fabrics and seek out materials that would otherwise be forgotten or discarded. This practice lends each Sans Map bag it’s own individual personality borrowed from its former, or long forgotten, life…whatever that may have been.
The name Sans Map is the combination of the French word ‘without’ and the English word ‘map’— fusing together the two worlds that I live between and love.

Sans Map promises to be mindful of the environment while making smart business choices and continues the thread that links the past with a sustainably conscious future.
All leather at Sans Map is carefully hand selected and sourced from industry remnants or thoughtfully repurposed from leather garments.
Original stitching, seams or pockets and natural leather imperfections lend to the unique quality of Sans Map bags, no two will be exactly alike.
By incorporating reclaimed and repurposed leather into my designs and utilizing existing textiles, the need to consume raw materials is greatly reduced.
When new or reclaimed-new fabrics are incorporated into my designs, I strive to source
from high quality and good-practice manufacturers and those who produce fabrics such as certified organic cotton and sustainable fabrics like hemp, bamboo and recycled fibers.
