About SaraBJewelry

I am Sara B. - unapologetic stone hoarder, casual collector of curiosities, and modern jewelry maven. Growing up near the shores of Lake Huron, I graciously formed a love of the beach stones and fossils the lake had to offer; always stashing rocks and lake treasures in my little pockets. Somewhere in the blur of my mid-twenties, I fell wildly in love with gemstones and jewelry making. These passions morphed through the decades into an unending hunt for rare pieces of earth to be collected, and for those bits of natural history to be preserved and captured in my modern, handmade jewelry.

My work is handcrafted in my little Midwest mess of a studio in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. I tend to create small medleys of one-of-a-kind designs featuring gemstones, fossils, and nature's oddities. My pieces are constructed by hand using traditional metalsmithing techniques and tools with skills I have acquired over years of devoted practice and self-teaching. My goal is to craft jewelry that is natural yet modern, embracing the inherent imperfections of the stones as well as my hand at work.

- Ready-to-ship items will be shipped within 3-5 business days upon receipt of payment.

- Made-to-order items are created upon purchase.
For smaller items like earrings, stacking rings, and midi rings, my current turnaround time is up to 14 business days upon receipt of payment before items are shipped (though I am usually faster than that!). The turnaround for larger made-to-order jewels like cocktail rings, cuff bracelets, and all custom jewelry is approximately 3-4 weeks. I will make every effort to get pieces out to you sooner if possible! I don't mind a rush order here and there - just ask!

Thanks for your patience!

It is important to me that you are happy and satisfied with your jewelry purchase from Sara B. Jewelry & Metalsmithing. Please let me know if there are any problems with your jewelry and we'll discuss what I can do to fix the problem. I will be happy to work with you to resolve any issues!

Sometimes life happens! You may have slept on your earrings causing them to bend, lost one in the grocery store, etc. - repairs or replacements can be an option! Please give me a shout so we can work it out :) I will visit each repair on a case by case basis to determine the possibility of repair and the cost.

*RINGS & CUFFS: My gemstone and fossil rings and cuff bracelets CANNOT be re-sized! Once the stone is set, there's no going back! I create these according to the size provided by the customer. I encourage everyone to have their fingers/wrists sized by a professional jeweler - this is a free service. I could also provide you with a plastic ring sizer via USPS (though this is a fairly accurate method, I cannot be held accountable for your own human errors in measuring). I will not be held accountable if your ring or cuff does not fit. Please double check your size!
Sara B. Jewelry accepts payments via credit card, debit card, or PayPal.

Please pay promptly. I am not a meanie, but if your PayPal payment is not received within 3 days of ordering, I reserve the right to cancel the sale and re-list the item(s). I will, of course, kindly notify you before this happens.

Please feel free to contact me if you need additional time for payment or have any questions or special requests!

A 7% sales tax will be added to Indiana residents.

All of my pieces are made from .925 sterling silver or fine silver, with bits of copper, brass, or gold accents at times. I advise against wearing your Sara B. Jewelry pieces in the shower or while washing your hands. A soft polishing cloth will help keep the silver clean and bright. Avoid getting creams, gels, perfumes and oils directly on the jewelry - take extra caution with the natural Great Lakes beach stones and the fossils, as those materials are quick to absorb oils and may stain. Silver will tarnish naturally over time and I recommend sealing all silver jewelry in plastic bags when not in use to help combat the tarnishing process. I do not recommend using liquid jewelry cleaning solutions, ever – they are highly toxic and can damage the stones, as well as your health.

I often work with clients to create extraordinary custom jewelry. Send me a convo or an email with your thoughts and I will contact you directly.

Custom items are FINAL SALE! This includes larger Made-to-Order items with stones & fossils, such as, but not limited to: rings, cocktail rings, cuff bracelets, bangles, earrings, etc.

I will try my very best to help you decide the proper sizing for your custom and Made-to-Order jewelry, however, I cannot be held responsible if you do not provide exact measurements for a custom order.

In addition, orders in which an item has been personalized, such as with stamping, cannot be returned or exchanged.

Every person's body reacts differently to stones and metals.

Sterling silver may cause allergic reactions in some people. Please be aware of any allergies you may have before purchasing metal jewelry.

There are also risks with stones and fossils causing an allergic reaction, though it is a rarity. Please use your best judgement when handling your jewelry. I'd strongly advise against licking your stones or putting them in your mouth, however much like candy they tend to look!

I am not responsible for any injuries or illness caused by your jewelry.

Your Sara B. Jewelry should be stored and cared for in a loving manner! Here are some helpful tips:

- Wear your jewelry! The more you wear your silver baubles, the less tarnished they will be! Take off your pretties before washing hands, putting on makeup, styling hair, etc. to avoid getting detergents or chemicals on them that could damage the amazing natural stones and fossils!

- When not accessorizing with your silver jewelry, store it in an airtight container, a ziploc bag, or the little anti-tarnish bags I often provide - these help slow the oxidizing process.

- Restore luster and shine to your jewels using a polishing cloth, such as a sunshine polishing cloth. Simply rub the silver (ONLY the silver!) with the cloth! Rub very gently and take extra caution to avoid the stones and fossils - the chemicals in the cloths can dull their lively colors and finishes!
