These pyrite earrings are even nicer in person. What a pleasure to find this artist. She even sent me a sweet little bonus pair. What a nice surprise! I'm going to be wearing these a lot. Couldn't be happier. Thank you!

About

Traveling Is In My Blood, With Me I Carry A Basket Filled With Beauty.

Hello Relatives,
My name is Sarah Caligiuri. I was born in San Francisco California and I've lived on the California Coast for all my life. Up until recently, I have only had a few items on Etsy, but I am ready to bring my full creative jewelry online exclusively to the Etsy community. My art is personal. It begins at the roots of my Native American heritage and blossoms out producing the fruit of an eclectic Borderland woman.
The Old Ways and colonization are bound to my art as they are bound to myself. Turn of the century Native photographs and Regalia are very inspiring to me. Hints of color, offsetting stones, brass bullets, bear grass weave, recycled gears, playing cards, porcupine quills, old photographs, silk, stringing material, glass seed beads, graphite, silver and other various bits are attempts at grabbing at the past and present to achieve a spell of timelessness. It is also a statement of waste in our society and proposes the question of, “what is worthless, what is trash and what is beauty?” The asymmetrical nature of my organic chaos is apparent. This element is my way of connecting to the imperfect, natural world that so often goes unnoticed in today's day and age.
I continuously connect to this world by taking many months during the year to go on sacred sabbatical to mend the Native Hoop.
Art is the way that I live, it is my dress, hair, walk, speech and also expression. Please Enjoy.
Thank you for listening.
