A Long, Winding Road… to Awesome

Thank you for visiting my shop! I am so excited to be launching this line of leather earrings. After nearly a decade of working with glass, I am in love with leather as a medium for jewelry. It is lightweight, soft, bold, and versatile. My bright Double Leaf Earrings are the perfect accessory to dress up jeans and a plain top; my metallic earrings are ideal to dress up that little black dress for a night out; and the Western tooled leathers… match them to your favorite boots, and you are set!

I was just reminded by my five-year old daughter’s new hobby that my career in crafting probably started just like hers is: with my Loom Loopers! I was a seriously prolific producer of pot holders. My poor mom… she had a kitchen cupboard bursting with those things! But my path was set: artist/artisan/crafter I was. I became a jack (jill?) of all crafts, and even mastered a few! My mom taught me to sew and do all manner of needle crafts. In the ensuing three decades, I have dabbled in drawing, pottery, crochet, knitting, silversmithing, glass fusing, and more sewing.

I also had my turn in the corporate world. I’ve worked in advertising and in corporate sales for a Fortune 500 company. However, that corporate job with all its travel was not at all conducive to mom life. While my husband and I were anticipating the arrival of our daughter, I started a second job, selling my fused glass jewelry at local arts and crafts shows. For about ten years, I have worked the art show scene in Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico. I’ve met some wonderful friends, am privileged to work with some amazing boutiques and galleries, and am so thankful to be able to stay home with my daughter.

Happy earring shopping, and thank you for making this dream a reality!

Care instructions

My earrings are leather! Just wipe them with a soft cloth if they get dirty. (Water is not leather's best friend! Don't wear them swimming, in the shower, or run them through the washer!)

We use stainless steel ear wires, so that you don't need to worry about them tarnishing.

Custom and personalized orders

I am a one-woman operation, so I try to keep things fairly streamlined around here. I do not accept custom orders, but if you have a killer idea you think would complement my shop, send me a convo! I am always playing with new ideas, and maybe yours will make it into the mix!

Sizing details

Please see individual listings for dimensions.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Your earrings will come to you on a branded 3x5 card enclosed in a resealable cellophane envelope. They will be shipped in a padded poly envelope.

Ear wires

I use stainless steel ear wires. Stainless steel is considered hypoallergenic for most people, and will not tarnish.

The backside of the leather

Most of the leathers I use have a soft suede back a shade lighter than the front side. Occasionally (rarely), there will be a marking from the tannery, or from the animal. I don't consider those marks to be a flaw, just a part of the process that makes leather unique and your earrings one of a kind.

Earring replacement

We do not replace lost earrings! Because of the unique nature of leather and the possibility of dye lots changing at the tanneries, I can't guarantee the ability to match a lost earring.

Each pair of earrings comes with a pair of clear rubber ear nuts, to keep you from losing earrings. (Please wear them, especially since the earrings are so lightweight. You might not notice at the time if you were to lose one!)
