Additional policies and FAQs

I do my best to describe the sizing of all my items. Please make sure you know what ring, bracelet and necklace sizes you prefer before ordering. Most jewelry stores will size you for free. I encourage you to know your measurements or ask if you are uncertain what they are.

Custom orders:

I enjoy making custom items for my clients. Please read the following so you understand the custom ordering process.

1 - The custom ordering process begins with you contacting me through Etsy. Please include in your email what type of piece you are looking for. Please consider size, metal type, stone type (if any), or anything else that is important to you. If you would like a custom piece based on one of my original designs, please include a link to the item in my shop and tell me how you would like to change it, and I will let you know if it is possible and if I'm willing to change it in that way. Please also include links or images of any other details that will visually explain to me what you are interested in my making for you. The more the better!

2 - I will respond to your email within 7 days to let you know I have received it and that I will begin designing for you. I will ask any additional questions I need for the design process at this time. With in 2 weeks I will respond with a photo of drawn design options I have for you, including links to any material options for your design.

3 - Depending on what materials and options you choose, I will provide an estimate of the total cost of the custom order. Once we both agree, I will post a listing on Etsy for a 50% deposit of the estimated quote. This deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. Once the deposit payment is made in full, I will begin your design. The final balance is payable when you approve the final piece through detailed photos. The final balance will be posted as an Etsy listing for the remaining cost of the order. The final payment will include all shipping and insurance fees and if you desire expedited shipping, this should be stated prior to the listing going up. I will ship all custom orders via USPS priority with delivery confirmation and insurance.

Jewelry Care:

All items included in my shop are made of .925 sterling silver, 18 karat royal yellow or pink gold, 14 karat yellow gold, nickel-free 24 karat or 18 karat gold-plated brass and mild steel. These materials naturally oxidize or darken after an extended period of contact with air. I will include a plastic bag with your purchase to keep your items in, to slow down the oxidation process, so your items will stay shiny longer.

If item is made ENTIRELY of .925 sterling silver, 18 karat or 14 karat yellow or pink gold or nickel-free 24 karat or 18 karat gold plated brass (this means no steel and no fiber), the item can be cleaned with a yellow jeweler's cloth or dipped in a liquid jewelry cleaner once or twice and then rinsed and wiped dry.

All mild steel earrings have a 14 karat yellow gold or .925 sterling silver post or lever back. None of my mild steel jewelry has steel elements that go through any part of the body. All elements that come into contact with the body are made of precious materials.

All mild steel jewelry has been sealed to prevent rusting, however steel jewelry should never soak in water and should avoid contact with water. Should your item begin to rust, please contact me.

The steel elements of steel jewelry should not need to be cleaned and should not come into contact with any liquid jewelry cleaners. All steel jewelry with gold and silver earring posts and lever backs can be cleaned with a jeweler’s cloth which can be found inexpensively at most jewelry shops, including those at most department stores.

All fiber elements of my lace jewelry are made of all cotton threads. All fiber jewelry should avoid coming into contact with perfumes and hairsprays as the fiber will retain the scent from these items.

And if you have any other questions, please contact me!
