From a very early age I remember sitting at the table at my Grandmother’s house cutting out shapes and glueing them into scrapbooks. I have always enjoyed making things and have experimented with many crafts before finally settling on Dollhousehouse miniature food.

One long Summer (2007) with only the mundane chores of housework to keep me occupied. I decided to have a go at making some miniature food for my newly acquired doll's house. Equiping myself with two excellent reference books, Angie Scarr's “Making Miniature Food and Market Stalls” and Sue Heaser's “Food Displays”, I set off on my epic journey of discovery.

soon I had so many little miniature foods family and friends suggested I sell them. That is when Dollhouse Kitchen here on Etsy began. Then in October 2009 I was lucky enough to be able to give up Teaching so that I could make miniatures full-time which lead to even more dollhouse miniature food and eventually the creation of my own website www.dollhousekitchen.com.

I have also written articles for 'DollsHouse and Miniature Scene' as well as having my work appear in The Dolls House Magazine. I am currently working on an article for American Miniaturist.

This year I am branching out into jewellery making. I feel the pull of a new challenge and once this ghastly Covid 19 has been deemed no longer a threat I hope to exhibit at local Craft Fairs.
