Genuine Surf Tumbled Sea Glass and Recycled Silver Jewelry
I started selling my sea glass jewelry in 2008 at craft fairs, local shops ( Bar Harbor, Maine at the time) and on Etsy. Since then, I stopped attending craft fairs and have acquired 20 wholesale accounts along the east coast and Great Lakes region. I also stopped selling on Etsy for a while at the request of some shop owners who worried about the competition. But, as of January 2014, I started my shop back up because of demand by my wonderful fans. :)

I started selling my sea glass jewelry in 2008. I am self taught and continue to teach myself new techniques to enhance the natural beauty of sea glass and utilize eco friendly materials.
Almost all of the silver beads and charms are made from 100% recycled materials and I purchase them from small fair trade companies. The silver wire I use is is made from 100% recycled materials in one of the most eco friendly refining plants in the country. The silver chains I buy are also US made and have an estimated recycled content of 50%.
SEA GLASS INFO:
All the sea glass I use is true sea glass collected off the shore. The only alterations made to the glass has been a good cleaning with fresh water and a tiny hole drilled in just the right spot. Not all of the sea glass I use is collected from Maine nor is it all collected by me. In order to get a good selection of colors and enough inventory to come up with earring matches, I buy and trade with other sea glass collectors. Most of the sea glass is from the northern Atlantic ocean.
LEATHER INFO from the company I buy from:
" Since we began making leather products, we have always used the most environmentally friendly dyes and chemicals. Our belief has always been to provide our customers with the highest quality products, and always exceed the most restrictive environmental requirements found worldwide.
To support our customers and to prove our commitment to strict environmental regulation, we routinely test our products in independent, non-affiliated laboratories. We happily make our test results available to our clients.
We are proud to say that all our leather products are free of Lead, AZO’s, PCP, Mercury, Formaldehyde, Chromium VI, Cadmium and other carcinogenic/hazardous chemicals.
Our products are fully compliant with:
1. German Goods Ordinance
2. R.E.A.C.H. (European Union)
3. R.O.H.S. (United Kingdom)
4. CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act)
Copies of our chemical certification and testing reports are available upon request.
We take Environmental Responsibility Seriously.
It matters to us all."
The packaging and wrapping products I use are either made from recycled paper, organically grown or are up-cycled. So, you can feel good about buying my jewelry!
Accepted payment methods
- Accepts Etsy gift cards
- Money Order
You do not need to sign up with PayPal to use your credit card. Pay Pal provides a way to process credit cards whether you have an account with them or not. So when purchasing an item, just click on the Credit card/Pay Pal option. You will then be taken to a PayPal page. It says quite clearly on the left hand side " Don't have a PayPal account?
No problem, continue checkout." So, click on that link and you will be taken to a page where you fill out your credit card info. After payment, you will be redirected to your purchase order. It's that easy!
I usually ship "flat rate priority" through USPS,which is supposed to be delivered in 1-3 business days. Items shipping to Maine usually go first class. There is tracking information for all of the shipments. Higher priced, or one of a kind items I insure and require a signature confirmation.
If you need expedited shipping, please contact me. I'd be glad to oblige.

If you find the glass looks dull over time, it just needs a little cleaning. You can use a polishing cloth for the silver, soap and water works quite well also. Or you can use baking soda mixed with water (like the consistency of toothpaste ) to both clean the glass and polish the silver at the same time. It's my favorite way to clean my own jewelry. Make sure you rinse well, but don't let them fall down the drain! Plug the sink first. :)
If the glass gets over cleaned, it can look pale and white. You can wipe it across your chin and the oil from your skin will give it just the right of oil.
You could also use a jewelry polishing cloth to clean the silver if you like. You can find them at most jewelry stores.
Please contact me if you have ANY questions.
