5 out of 5 starsWhat a lovely piece of art. The chain is not of the same quality as the snowflake, but that's not what she is selling (it can be replaced). I bought this for myself but because of its elegance, I am now giving it as a gift to my daughter-in-law, =)

5 out of 5 starsThese scissor cuts make such nice gifts when you just need a little something for an occasion. Each piece is so detailed and conveys such joy in a beautiful moment. Who doesn't enjoy watching birds fIitting about at the bird bath or in search of food! I bought the songbirds and the hummingbirds for a friend who adores birds. I couldn't decide which one she would prefer, and a pair always makes a nicer wall arrangement.

5 out of 5 starsThank goodness Santa Sarah still had 2 of these left when I discovered that I only pondered over which items I was planning to purchase. You can never buy just one item.
The ornament is so beautiful I just might keep it out all year as it is giving the hope and peace we hope that 2021 will bring a bit of "calm and normalcy."
The colors are perfection, symbolic of those associated with the nativity and God with the dove and star. So much captured in one oval shape, somehow mystical, delicate; one can almost hear "silent night" coming from the lighted homes awaiting Christmas.
Best wishes for more creative endeavours in 2021! -

I'm endlessly fascinated by the possibilities of paper
Hi! I'm Sarah, a papercut artist and illustrator. I live in Pennsylvania with my husband and our cat, Lucy, who is my constant companion and studio assistant.
For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to make art. My mom is a very creative person and I like to think I inherited that trait from her. Her side of the family is Pennsylvania Dutch, so I learned the tradition of scherenschnitte (German for literally "scissor cuts" ) early in life. After concentrating in drawing and photography in college and wanting to experiment with new mediums, I turned back to papercutting and found that it opened so many creative doors for me.
I'm completely captivated by the delicate and methodical process of papercutting. Removing so much of the paper surface leaves me with a lace-like miniature world that always renews my awe of this art form.
I find inspiration in nature, fairy tales, children's stories, botanical illustrations, and so much more. I am endlessly fascinated by the possibilities of paper becoming something meaningful. I love watching a sheet of paper transform into a beautiful piece of art one cut at a time. This feeling of exploration keeps me excited about my work and keeps me wanting to work on it more and more every day.
Deciding to sell on Etsy has been a decision I will never regret. I’ve met so many wonderful people and have gotten so inspired by listening to their stories and seeing their creations. Being around other creative people has really motivated me to push my boundaries and expand my product line to new territories. Thank you, etsy!
