About SarahWhyteFineArt

Sarah Whyte Fine Art

I am a university student pursuing a fine arts degree in drawing and painting, a recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation grant, and I love creating things of all types. Art is a part of who you are rather than something you do - many artists could never see themselves pursuing a career in anything else, myself included.

In my shop, I sell my paintings that are little enough to be shipped, and my linocut prints, as well as handmade greeting cards.

I decided to open my Etsy shop with the hope that I could reach an audience outside of the little one that I had, and finally make enough doing what I love that I don't have to do anything else. I want people to be able to own a piece of artwork created with love and passion to bring joy and interest to their day-to-day life.

It brings me joy using and admiring the handmade pieces that I've collected - knowing that the artist's heart and soul and years of practice have gone into that one piece, and I want others to have that opportunity aswell. If you don't buy from me, please still buy handmade!

I sell my ceramics in my other shop, which can be found here:
sarahwhyteceramics.etsy.com

I also sell my antique store finds in my vintage shop, which can be found here:

Thanks for taking the time to look through my shop,
Sarah

Hi, and thanks for visiting my shop! I am a painting student with my own little home ceramics studio. Everything I make I do while exploring new techniques and designs. Creating things is my passion and I hope you can enjoy my work as much as I enjoy making it.

You can convo me with questions, or email me at Sarah.Teresa.Whyte [!at] gmail.com.

I love to talk about my work, so don’t be afraid to ask any questions you may have!

Returns and exchanges
If you wish to return your order, you can message me with an explanation, return it within one week (7 days) of receiving it in the same quality of packaging it was received in, and I will do a replacement or a refund upon return, not including shipping costs.

If your order is damaged in transit, please send me photos of the damage within one week (7 days) of receiving it and provide your phone number so that I can open a case with the post office, and I will send a replacement or refund you immediately. Please do not throw out the item or packaging, incase the post office requests to see it.

Unless broken in transit or significantly not as discussed, custom orders are unfortunately non-refundable, as I cannot recoup my expenses and time on something made just for you. However, I'd be happy to try and work with you to fix whatever it is you don't like about your order.

Payment
*NOTE*
My shipping costs are just an estimate based on the weight and size of that item, with a general location. If the cost to ship your item ends up being less than what I charge you by $1 CAD or more, I will refund you the difference.

If you would rather not have a possible refund, you can message me before purchasing for an exact shipping quote and I will adjust the price of the item for you. I would suggest this strongly, because I'd love to get it right the first time as much as you would love to not overpay!

I accept Paypal, credit cards, debit cards and Etsy Gift Cards.

You may cancel your order up to 24 hours after placing it unless your order has already been marked as dispatched, or past the date I informed you it would be started for a custom order.

For pre-arranged pick ups, you have the option of paying in cash. To use that option, select "other" at checkout, and I will mark your order as paid and delivered after you have it.

Shipping
SHIPPING TRANSIT TIME:

-Within Canada, it is generally 6-10 business days, with tracking**

-For the United States, it is generally 6-10 business days, without tracking for smaller orders, and with tracking for larger orders**

-For everywhere else, it is generally 4-6 weeks, without tracking**

I will include a more exact estimated transit time given to me by the post office when your order ships, although once the package has left my hands, I can’t guarantee how long it will take.

I send all of my framed paintings boxed and wrapped in paper and bubble wrap, and the smaller items in a bubble mailer if it is safe to do so. My unframed paintings are sent in a mailing tube. I send all of my linoprints and greeting cards in a rigid mailer between two sheets of cardboard to prevent bending.

All parcels are sent via Canada Post unless another method is requested.

If you require a tracking number or need faster shipping to meet a deadline, please message me so that I can adjust the shipping cost for you.

You can message me if you need an order sooner than that and I will let you know if it's possible and what any additional costs for a rush will be.

For large custom orders, I generally need about 2 weeks to complete them. If you need them faster than that plus a shipping time, message me to discuss how quickly it can be done and I can adjust the cost to include a rush price.

**Please be aware that any additional fees and charges upon delivery are the responsibility of the buyer, as they have to do with the laws of your specific country and nothing to do with me. Please visit your country’s postal website to make yourself familiar with your country's laws so that there are no surprise fees on delivery!**

NOTE: If you have upgraded and have a tracking number for your order and are outside of Canada, please enter the tracking number into your country's post website, as Canada Post only provides tracking until the item leaves Canada.

Local drop-offs or pick-ups are welcome if you’re located in the GTA, just send me message to work something out.

Payment is due after the details are worked out and before physical creation is started.
