About

My Name

My shop's name, Hart & Ram, comes from my inspiration. My father & mother were both wildlife biologists, studying white tailed deer (hart is an archaic term for a buck) & big horn sheep, respectively. They've since joined one another on the next great adventure, but that doesn't mean I can't give them the credit they deserve in this one of mine. I hope you enjoy the love that goes into my work- every piece is made with tons of it!

A fascination with all things ancient led me to a degree in Medieval Studies, where I learned my strength lay more in the study of material culture than memorization. I love artifacts from many times & cultures, which has influenced my jewelry & overall aesthetic. I have since studied metalsmithing & graphic design at various schools & feel like I've found my place in these, at last.
