Thank you for taking a few moments out of your busy day to stop by our small artisan blacksmith shop.

Daniel began his metal working journey almost a decade ago when he started working for a local farmer. What began with working cows and irrigating hay fields soon turned into learning how to weld and fix old farm equipment with scrap parts. It was during this time that he discovered that even old metal can be melded into something new and useful again. He began tinkering and was soon creating welded pieces to give to friend and family. Much to his surprise, they loved his pieces and encouraged him to continue creating and learning. A few years ago, he decided to try his hand at blacksmithing. Once he started, he was hooked. He built his own forge (which, with a few modifications, he still uses) and with just a few tools and a gifted anvil, he began to quickly hone his skills. It wasn’t long before our family and friends were asking if they could purchase his finished pieces. At the beginning of 2019 we began toying with the idea of starting our own business – we even created a facebook page to showcase his work you can check it out at https://www.facebook.com/sasquatchironworks. It wasn’t until after a long and complicated pregnancy and the birth of our second child that we decided to start our Etsy shop.

In rain, snow or shine you can find Daniel hand forging each piece in his outdoor forge. Each piece is then painstakingly wire brushed and reheated to seal with a very light coating. When he is not at the forge, he is learning about the craft and designing new creations.

We appreciate our customers and their support of us and other small business owners across America. Without you we would not be able to forge our version of the American dream.
