Thank you Anne for such wonderful soaps. The soaps from this shop are beyond excellent. I love the scent and lather from these soaps. The service Anne gives her customers is off the scale. I highly recommend that you give her wonderful soaps a try, you won't be sorry.

This is a charming towel. It's cute and thick and I love it! Thanks

I bought these two embroidered towels for resale in my friend's apple orchard gift shop. They are beautiful, high quality towels. Anne was so great to work with, very open to doing custom work and making sure I got what I needed on time. I highly recommend her work.

About

The Farmstand moves to Alaska!

The shop itself began some years back when a friend of mine was undergoing treatment for his cancer. The chemotherapy was rough on his skin which became rashy and itchy. So I made him a bar of my homemade soap with lots of oils and butters and gentle fragrance oils. He used it and found some relief from the skin problems. He said to me one day, "Anne, you should sell this soap. It's really gentle and smells great."

So began the first attempts to set up soap-making in my home and to list and distribute the soaps through a personal website (www.carolina-farmstand.com) and in my Etsy storefront.

This summer, my husband and I moved from the Outer Banks of North Carolina to Anchorage, Alaska. so the shop is now in a sunny studio, complete with embroidery and sewing machines, quilt cabinets, fabric, threads, scraps of this and that, soap molds and just about everything else I need to make those soaps.

Lately, I am enjoying salvaging old quilts and making pin-cushions and tiny gifts from them. And soon I'll be introducing aprons to the shop.

All in all, it's a very happy life here at The Farmstand.
