INTRODUCING SOS!
Throughout history, the terms refugee, asylum seeker, or immigrant has often fallen into the shadows of negative news and at times has been known to cause hostile conversations and opinions amongst local and global communities. Fortunately, this isn’t always the case. You’d be pleasantly surprised as to how many inspiring stories are still waiting to be uncovered and told, not to mention, all the positive influences refugees and immigrants are capable of offering to the communities who welcome them in.
Did you know that today, in our modern 21st century world, we currently have the HIGHEST number of displaced human beings since World War II? Displacement has become a huge global issue impacting many cities. Through our new grassroots initiative, Save Our Seekers (SOS) we have committed to doing all we can to try to offer additional support to existing organisations, who work tirelessly to assist and advocate for asylum seekers and refugees.
Whilst doing so, Save Our Seekers will aim to raise awareness about the plight of refugees, by encouraging community members who aren't already involved in these conversations to become engaged. We believe we can achieve growth while having a positive impact on conversations regarding asylum seekers, through information sharing and thoughtful action.
As you may have already guessed, we are going to need your help, every step of the way, so stay tuned!
