More about me, the official version.

Visual artist Stacey Brown offers an eclectic collection of original paintings for the contemporary art lover. His artistic journey of discovery began with aspirations for a career in graphic design. After graduating from the Art Institute of Atlanta, he embarked on a successful ten-year career in his chosen field, but something was "missing" in his life. That “missing” drew him to his paint brush, and he decided to pursue his true love, fine art. His passion for the arts has led him to a successful 18-year career as a full-time artist, expressing himself through watercolor on paper. He remains visually aware of his surroundings by incorporating colors that correspond with current contemporary trends. He also remains in tune with his roots with traditional landscapes, and urban neighborhood scenes that exude keen observations of everyday life. Brown’s work has garnered popular attention by features in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Décor, Jezebel, Broad, and Uptown Magazines. He has been a featured artist on the nationally syndicated radio talk show host Tom Joyner’s Fantastic Voyage Cruise, and his work is in the private collections of Verizon Wireless, Nationwide Insurance, Bounce TV Network, and Liberty Bank and Trust. His work is featured on the set of the CBS sitcom, "The Odd Couple", and he most recently created original murals for the Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint Restaurant located in downtown Atlanta, as well as Farmburger Restaurant located in Buckhead. Discriminating art lovers throughout the country and abroad collect his eclectic and contemporary art, which has led him to emerge as a visionary artistic talent for the 21st century.

Beautiful print. Really appreciate that he has sized for ready made frames. I was surprised that the signature was so prevalent (I thought that was so i wouldn’t try to copy it) but it does not detract from the art.

I thought the picture would be much larger. I like the artwork, but expected a much larger print. However I decided to keep it and will try to enhance it by perhaps having it doubled matted, and put it in a very nice frame.

About

I paint what I see, and use my imagination to keep it interesting!

I have been a professional full-time watercolorist for 17 years, and painting is my passion. I love to capture the world around me with intense and evolving color, for the beauty of the world is fascinating. I typically travel the country exhibiting at fine art show, and have had the distinct pleasure to meet lovers of art from all walks of life. My watercolor genres usually include colorful landscapes that capture small nuances of nature, city life that contain imagery of the fast paced lifestyle of vibrant urban communities, florals, and abstract designs.

As the owner of a small business, we have found that giving back has been an essential element to cultivating success in our community. As I mentioned, I teach watercolor classes locally. Our local YMCA, named after Amabassador Andrew Young and his brother Walter, embodies an organization that is dedicated to cultivating young people. SBrownART will make a donation of every sale to this local Y to assist them in strengthening their current art programs.

More about me, I have a degree in graphic design from the Art Institute of Atlanta, and enjoyed life for a time as a graphic designer. The fine arts called to me, and I left the corporate ranks and joined the art world as a watercolorist, and mixed media artist. I became a visual artist because I could not deny the innate calling of my Godly gift to create. Most recently, I have begun to teach watercolor classes in my local community. It has been a wonderful experience sharing with students what I have learned about painting with watercolor, for it is an amazing medium to work with. I have a partner in this artistic endeavor, and she is my wife Michele. She is the marketer, and photographer of our shop, and we handle things together. I have two artsy daughters, who also have the gift of drawing their world. One is an aspiring veterinarian, and the other, I think is following in her dad's painting footsteps.

We are a family passionate not only about art, but also swimming. My daughters swim competitively and are pretty good I must say. #olympicbound

Along with my watercolors listings, you may see abstract acrylics on glass, a favorite among my collectors, as well as a little sculpture in between. I offer original paintings also, and they are available directly through me on my website sbrownart.com, as I create new bodies of work, and the Mackey Twins Art Gallery in New York, New York.
