Announcement    Portraits make wonderful one-of-a-kind gifts. I work in multiple media to capture the perfect portrait. More than just the exact image, I'm looking to capture a certain mood, emotion or truth about the person. When you buy a portrait, you are supporting my paint-supply habit. Thank you.

    About

There has never been a time when I was not doing art. I love portraits and often carry a journal to make sketches of strangers I see. My goal is to catch their gestures, expressions and likeness. When not focused on people, I love abstract realism and abstract, generally. My work has been shown in Arkansas galleries, but I have never taken the next step to seek out clients until now. I hope, with this store, I can afford more art supplies.

    Frequently asked questions
    Custom and personalized orders

My portraits, generally, are done on prepared paper. However, other surfaces can be substituted for an additional fee. Surfaces include canvas, pastel board, sandpaper (pastel) and hardboard.

    Care instructions

None of the portraits will have a frame provided. If you have ordered pastel, charcoal or watercolor, please be aware that you should get the portraits framed with glass. Pastel is particularly fragile.

    Sizing details

The examples listed are 5 by 7 inches. I can go up to 8 by 10 inches without charging more. However, above that will be more expensive.

How should I send you a photo for a portrait?

You may email me a photo (please one that is not too dark to see) at scarlet.a.sims@gmail.com.

    Packaging

Each piece will be held between sturdy cardboard, then wrapped before going into a padded envelope.
