Welcome to Cheers Ink! Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the treasures you've found.

I didn't know it at the time, but I'd finally gotten the guts to register a shop name exactly one week before I was laid off in February 2012. I had no direction or any idea as to what I'd sell, only that I needed to open a shop as a creative outlet. Being laid off was just the push I needed to finally begin doing what I had been dreaming of for years. Growing up, my mom owned a craft/gift shop and my dad started his own company, so it makes sense that I inherited the dream of being my own boss.

I'm an artist, a collector at heart and a lifelong rock enthusiast. Painting slate and sorting corks all day fills those needs. Each piece of slate and every wine cork is beautiful and unique, with its own story to tell. I have a hard time parting with some of the treasures I find as I work with them, but that's the struggle of the collector, isn't it? So I enjoy them for a few moments, snap a picture to remember (& probably post it to instagram) and send them on their way to you.

A lot of you have stumbled upon my shop from Pinterest and the ever infamous ☆Black Rustic Wine Cork Coasters☆ I WISH I could make more and am working on finding the frame again. When I do, I promise to email each of you that are patiently waiting for an update!

I run my Etsy store full-time while taking care of my 4 year old, Adelaide, and my 2 year old, Nolan! I love staying home and working when they let me ;)

    Austin keeps the shop running smoothly with smarter work flow and faster production. He recently moved the shop from the basement to the garage. He works full-time away from Scattered Treasures but stays busy on nights and weekends.

    Adelaide joined the team in November 2013. She has gotten very good at putting her own corks on the slate. She just recently started using ink to design her own coaster line. And she is thrilled to help in any way we need!

    Elrod Timber is a local woodworking company, and friends of our. They make our wooden coaster holders. We came up with an idea and asked them to make it for us, as we wanted a coaster holder made out of wood. We thought it was very important to work with a local company!
