Note from shop owner We look forward to serving you upon our return!

This product line is about more than merely smelling good. We’ve carefully crafted our formulas with scents that have been proven to invoke scientifically measurable responses. Utilizing the latest in Aromachology studies, scent research, and pheromone technology, your new perfume was designed to give you the edge. Now repeat after me: I solemnly swear to use my newfound powers for the purpose of good... mostly ;)

Harnessing the power of Smell:

Our sense of smell is vastly under-rated and often underestimated. But for being the most neglected of our five senses, why are up-scale department stores willing to pay as much as $50,000 to fragrance experts to scent their buildings? Because it causes their patrons to spend more money, that’s why! The Hilton Casino in Las Vegas exposes gamblers to certain pleasant scents because it causes them to spend 50% more time playing the slots (and the stronger the scent, the longer they gamble!). In a study involving more than 3,000 people, subjects breathed into a banana, green apple, or peppermint scented inhaler whenever they were hungry, and lost an average of 5lbs a month during the 6 month study. Because sexual responses originate in the limbic region of the brain, those who lose their sense of smell are prone to sexual dysfunction. This is just the tip of the ice berg when it comes to studying the effects of scent, but it is apparent that scent plays a huge role in how we react to certain situations. The director of the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago says “Scents produce a more emotionally intense reaction than anything else, including lightning, temperature, or visual displays.”

WE CAN USE THE POWER OF SMELL TO OUR ADVATAGE IN THREE BASIC WAYS:

First, by using scents that trigger a pleasant physical reaction. Lavender, for example, can actually affect the alpha waves in our brains, slowing it down, having a calming effect. Basil and Rosemary have proven to increase beta activity, enhancing alertness. Other scents, like vanilla and frankincense, are considered aphrodisiacs because they are proven to increase sexual arousal. Wearing these types of scents can make you and those around you FEEL good.

Second, by using smells that invoke nostalgia or positive connotations and memories. When the Smell and Taste Foundation conducted a study on scents that men find sexually arousing (yup, they actually measured the men’s reactions by the increase in, ahem, “penile blood flow”), the results were surprising in that many of the most effective scents were not typical perfume blends, but in fact common FOOD RELATED ODORS. Mama wasn’t kidding when she said “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach!” The top odor combination was the unlikely pairing of Lavender and Pumpkin Pie, having a 40% effect on participants, perhaps because these aromas were attached to positive memories of personal comfort, family gatherings, fun times, etc. One of the many things to consider when selecting a perfume is the nostalgia certain scents may trigger for yourself or your companion.

Thirdly (and most deviously, haha!) is the use of human PHEROMONE technology to replicate the scent signals that our bodies produce for the purpose of attracting and invoking positive social responses. ABC News did a “twins test” for their Saturday broadcast involving two attractive twins wearing the same outfit, the only difference being that one was wearing a pheromone compound. The results: the twin not wearing the compound was approached 11 times, while her sister was chatted up by no less than 30 guys. Another interesting study showed that strippers made up to 25% more in tips during ovulation, a time when women’s bodies are releasing an increase in pheromones that subconsciously advertise their peak in fertility to the men around them (gotta chuckle when I picture the scientists from the University of New Mexico devising and conducting this study). Human biology has us hard-wired to be attracted by naturally occurring body odors of the opposite sex, ones that we often wash off, cover with deodorant, and smother with scent products. As one who is very particular about her own personal hygiene, I’m not suggesting you start skipping showers (heaven forbid!), but here’s a little tip: before you approach a crush, hit the dance floor and work up a little sweat. It just might improve your odds ;)

All this information taken into consideration, we cannot deny what numerous polls have proven to be the single greatest factor determining your attractiveness: CONFIDENCE. That said, knowing you’ve got the advantage when you spritz yourself with one of these products, just consider it your “confidence in a bottle.”
