me, modeling one of my first ever ScigStudio creations!

the gal behind the goods

Hi, I'm Nikki -- the creator behind ScigStudio. In 2016 I graduated college and wanted something tactile and productive to fill my time with so I began knitting. I amassed quite a bit of scarves and blankets so I randomly threw them up on Etsy, hoping they'd sell themselves and promptly forgetting about my shop. In 2017/18, I began wire-wrapping crystals after admiring the work of others for years. At the time I worked near a crystal shop that I would routinely pop into during my lunch break. Creating these crystal necklaces became such a meditative practice for me. During a period of COVID unemployment, I revisited my once-dusty Etsy shop. I started revamping, adding some new stuff from my budding polymer clay passion, and here we are! Creating and developing ScigStudio has been such a rewarding experience. I love getting to be creative and being able to share my creations with others.
