This is a great little spindle for the price! Is it the best quality spindle I have? No, but it's light, and fast, and spins yarn beautifully for great value. The arms and shaft don't fit snuggly, but it's better after you build a decent turtle. I wouldn't say this is necessarily a beginner-friendly spinner since its light weight may make it harder to spin with. A fabulous little travel spindle that lets me spin on the go, without having to worry too much if I accidentally bump it or drop it.

I was slightly disappointed with my newest spindle from ScottsMountainCrafts, but not so much that I would have requested a return. The issue is that the narrow arm of the spindle is slightly thinner than that on the previous spindles I've purchased from this dealer, and...well, it RATTLES while spinning until the first few wraps are taken around it. As I said, this is a minor issue, so I am still giving it a five-star rating because the quality of this dealer's merchandise is generally excellent.
