5 out of 5 starsNot sure why it was on sale, but it arrived quicker than I expected and it now has a wonderful spot as the first decal on my new laptop. :) I love it! I'll be back to this shop in the future!

5 out of 5 starsKimmy did a great job, as always. She was making a mini peg for my friend’s pup who passed and included a rainbow bridge sticker for free. It was so sweet 😭😭

Scrambled Pegs
When I started this shop in 2012, I had a few pen pals I kept in touch with, and I had decided to make them all presents for Christmas. I made them each a set of wooden John and Hank Green dolls. I posted a picture of them on Tumblr, and people liked them so much I decided to try selling them. I had no idea back then that Etsy would become such a big part of my life!
My favorite part about making peg dolls is knowing that they will become a part of someone else's life. I've made wedding cake toppers, birthday presents, and someone even used one of my dolls to ask a girl to prom! I love it when people add a special note with their purchase telling me what they plan to do with their peg dolls. It always puts a smile on my face.
Each peg doll starts as a blank wooden figure. Then I paint their heads a solid color and dot on their eyes. From there, it's just a matter of adding more and more detail until the dolls are recognizable. Sometimes I add hand-curled embroidery floss for hair, or hand-sculpted clay for features.
After each doll is finished, I put my logo on the bottom, wrap it up, and send it out with a thank you note.

Hi, I'm Kimmy I started this business out of my dorm room 11 years ago and it has blossomed into so much more than I'd ever imagined. I have a full time job and I'm almost always in rehearsals for a play but I love finding time to paint and create!
