Dave clearly cares about his products and is a great craftsman. Unique, gorgeous pen I got as a birthday gift. Has a permanent spot on my desk. Writes great (extra fine nib needed a tiny bit of tuning!). Awesome stuff, will be back.

Superbly well made pen with contrasting cap out of ebonite and a black body and matching ebonite end finial. An unusual and imaginative combination. Very pleasing proportions with a subtle taper in cap and body to prevent it from becoming too block like. Looks absolutely fantastic with a reverse two tone black and white rhodium Bock nib (from FPNibs) that I fitted in place of the standard polished steel Bock nib.

The serpentine material is very nice, it reminds me of paint chips or something similar. An intricate random pattern and a great mix of colours. The pen is of the usual high quality, no problems at all. Great service and delivery.

How did I get here? Well, in 2018 I started watching Youtube Videos of people making chopping boards out of exotic woods, I was amazed at the variety of woods and colours available. I gave this a try and quickly moved on to turning items on a lathe, first wood and then onto other materials. My small workshop has been equipped since then, but I am still using the original second hand lathe that I bought at the outset.
I am now primarily focussing on custom pens
I am self taught, with the help of many online videos and lots of friendly, like minded, people.
This is very much a hobby for me, any items sold allow me to purchase more interesting materials and tools, but ultimately I like the idea of people getting enjoyment out of something that I have made.
