Love this. It looks great, and the whole transaction was so easy and a fun interaction as well.

About

Linocut prints and letter arts

I have been a lifelong lover of letters and language. I have a gardens-books-cats, & tea aesthetic, with a liberal pinch of medieval manuscript thrown in.

My pieces are created in my Tucson, Arizona studio.

Frequently asked questions

What is linocut?

Linocut is a form of relief printmaking. First I transfer my drawing to artist's linoleum, and then carve away all the parts I want to remain white, leaving my design. Then I mix my inks-- a mixture of linseed oil and dry earth pigments-- and roll them onto the plate. Then I press the back of the paper all over with a tool called a baren (or sometimes a wooden spoon), and voila! The print is complete.
