Today, I just received the sea glass project kit which I ordered around December 12, 2020. Aside from the fact that it took so long to arrive, it is perhaps the biggest disappointment I've ever had. It is so pitiful that I can't give it to my wife, who has been looking forward to seeing it since Christmas. It was shipped in a very small box, with two pieces of wire, 3 small pieces of sea glass, and a stone which I could have found in my yard. I paid $35 for this kit, and it is outrageous that you even offer this garbage for sale! If you don't give me a refund I will post a picture of what you sent on my social media accounts. This will make sure that no one buys from you again!
    Extremely disappointed,

Hi Gordon , Thank you for your message. Due to the peak xmas season and Covid, the international delivery could have been delayed. We had dispatched it already ahead of time. What you have received are pieces of sea glass picked up during beach clean ups. The sea glass project aims to bring awareness to ocean conservation through these upcycled jewellery. The sea glass DIY kit was introduced last year to allow people to make their own jewellery. What you have received in the kit is sufficient for making a few pendants! Although the materials may look ‘raw’ which essentially is used for the jewellery i.e.sea glass and craft wire, you will be amazed at what you can create from it! From the photos in the item listing you can see some beautiful creations made by others using this kit.

Loved the color and the beautiful bow on the pendant. The color made a pretty good match for my mom's sea glass earrings!

Sustainable fashion for ocean conservation

Support ocean conservation with sustainable fashion with the sea glass project. Read more about the cause here:

These are handmade pieces. If you are unsatisfied with the product, please contact me and I will try my best to replace or fix it! Sea glass is fragile, please handle either care.

The journey of a sea glass starts as broken, discarded pieces of glass from bottles, jars, and anything made from glass, which have found their way into the ocean. They may have drifted with the waves from the shore, finally ending up in the sea.
These broken and unwanted pieces are over time eroded and weathered by the tumbling of the waves and ocean, their rough edges smoothened and rounded out. Eventually after many years, they get a natural frosted appearance forming what we now call as sea glass.

During my sea glass collection, I noticed that sea glass were mainly found on beaches where there were a lot of trash. This began my quest to use sea glass as a way to show the beauty of the ocean and to increase awareness of the need to save our oceans from pollution.
I envision a world where our waters are crystal clear, beaches are pristine and we live in paradise.

My vision is to spread this message for ocean conservation through up-cycled sea glass jewellery or art.
The bigger vision is to have the coastal communities where sea glass can be found take on the project of collecting them and making the jewellery. This can help in creating jobs for women, reducing overfishing through providing alternative livelihoods for communities by the sea, while conserving the ocean at the same time.

You are a change maker. You picked up this piece of sea glass because you are unique, like each piece of sea glass. You have a chance now to do your part for our world to protect the oceans.
Use less plastic, say no to single-use plastic. Reduce and reuse, assess how you segregate and manage your trash at home. Carry a water bottle, use shopping bags. Say NO to eating shark’s fin. Be an ocean advocate. It all starts with you!
