For me it's the small details that provide the most memorable moments. The things that make your gift, event, or gesture different than the rest.
The inspiration behind Chickey began while planning my own wedding. I wanted unique items that people had not seen before - things that they'd go home and tell their friends about because that's what stood out most in their mind.
These are the things that I thought about when putting together the pieces of my wedding. What would make someone want to keep a tiny piece of paper forever? I didn't want mass produced favors that people would toss in the hotel trash can on their way out the door. I wanted things that they would want to hang on to and treasure. I also wanted things that possessed a hand made quality so that people could appreciate the work that went into them.
I carried that over from my invites to favors to escort cards and table numbers. I had so many ideas I couldn't possibly use them all in my one wedding. So what better way to get them out there than to open this store and share them with others!
I hope people can appreciate the thought and work that goes into each item, and that they can use them to make their own event or gift special for someone else.

I am an artist and graphic designer living in Boston. I have been making things forever. Everything from pop-up books to board games to jewelry, all before I was 10 years old. I graduated from Alfred University School of Art & Design in 2004.

I will allow 1 week (7 days) from the time a listing is set up to complete your transaction.
If payment is not received within the deadline specified the order will be cancelled and the item re-listed.
I will do everything I can to get your item to you as quickly as possible, but please message me for a timeframe estimate for your order as they vary depending on the time of year. If you are placing a custom order that is very different (i.e. a higher quantity, new supplies, etc) more time may be needed. I will message you with a time frame during our preliminary conversations.
If you need a rush order please message me and I will do my best to accommodate you.
Upgrades and rush deliveries available for the actual postal cost. Message me if you need to upgrade. Occasional rush fees apply on a case by case basis. Please read about specific rush fees in the listing, or message me with any questions.
Refunds and Exchanges
Exchanges/replacements are available with a valid reason. Please contact me if you think you need to make an exchange. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer unless an alternate agreement is reached. In then event that the seller agrees to pay shipping on exchanges or replacements they will pay the cost for the ORIGINAL shipping method. If rush delivery is needed the difference in cost is the responsibility of the buyer.
If a mistake has been made with the order the seller agrees to replace the defected item and cover the cost of shipping using the ORIGINAL shipping method. If rush delivery is needed the difference in cost is the responsibility of the buyer.
Additional policies and FAQs
The benefit of locking in your order is that I will not accept more orders that would prevent me from completing yours on time.
If you have contacted me previously for a timeframe estimate but had me set up a listing and completed your order the time frame is subject to change. Completing your transaction gets the ball rolling!
Most orders will include a digital proof of the design that will be sent to you before printing for approval. If you fail to approve the proof within 3 business days, or a date we have previously discussed, your delivery date is not longer guaranteed.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to make sure they send their approval within the allotted timeframe.
It is the responsibility of the buyer to check the proofs to make sure all of the content and formatting is correct and meets their requirements. Once approval has been given the seller is not responsible for any text or formatting errors.
Lack of response/inaction on behalf of the buyer can result in cancellation of the order without refund. If the seller has made several attempts to contact the buyer over a reasonable amount of time without response, the seller reserves the right to cancel the order without refund. If no reciprocative contact has been made with regard to orders with pending questions within one month, seller reserves the right to cancel the order without refund. Original timeframe given is void if lack of response or inaction occurs.
MISSING YOUR DEADLINE
I will do everything in my power to meet the buyer's deadline. When the buyer initially places the order I ask that they inform me of the date they must receive the item(s). If for any reason it is not realistic for me to have them completed by then I will inform the buyer at that time.
Specific information for custom orders (i.e. names, initials, personal messages, etc) must be submitted by the buyer within 10 days of the order being placed. If the information is not submitted within 10 days, no refunds will be issued. The order will still be honored if contact is made after the 10 days, but the original turnover time from the purchase date will be forfeited and replaced by a new delivery date within a reasonable amount of time.
If no contact has been by the buyer within 30 days I reserve the right to cancel your request without refund.
*IMPORTANT: If the buyer fails to submit necessary information, such as text, guest list, proof approval or other content, within a reasonable amount of time, or beyond a deadline that has been previously discussed (preceded by reminder messages from me), it may not be possible to complete the order in time and the payment will not be refunded.
