This story starts with a whole lot of faith, a muster of courage, a love of people and a determination to follow my passion of illustration and love of stationery.

My love of stationery and illustration was deep rooted in me since I was a kid. I remember stashing my lunch money and the little bit of allowances I did get to save for a trip to the local Sanrio store to stock up on Hello Kitty stationery and letter sets. Most of my friends became long distant, so writing letters was a must. Looking back, I still have a bunch of unsent letters from over 10 years ago (its the thought that counts, right?) but it was a nice reminder of how much it meant to me.

I attended a local arts high school and majored in visual arts. Drawing and painting was my passion, and creating new pieces weekly was always the hustle. When my senior year came around, I decided to forgo the expected route of attending an arts college and pursue the ministry. After graduating, I started learning Mandarin and helped teach Chinese individuals about the bible and it's promises. Some may have viewed it as a sacrifice to decline the offers from various schools, but it was the best decision I could have made.

Fast forward to now. I'm married to a wonderful husband and we live just south of Disney World, Florida. Although I was happy, I missed being out in the ministry full time as I was being sucked into the office life, working full time with a minimum 2 hour daily commute. In the middle of September 2016, I was taken on a surprise trip to Europe with my parents--3 weeks later on a leave of absence and the most amazing trip of my life-- I returned home finding the contents of my desk shipped to me. It was a shock, as I was supposed to return back to work just 2 days later. Looking back, the transition from that job to doing what I love couldn't have been done more smoothly. It had to be Jehovah.

I decided to pursue my passions and work towards getting having a fuller share in the ministry while supporting myself financially through freelance illustration and this Etsy shop. It took much prayer, courage and faith, praying that this will help sustain me while simplifying my lifestyle. (Goodbye, retail therapy!)

I work from my home studio - a personal haven that nests all of my creative work and supplies (and maybe some extra stuff that was just really cute). I mainly work with gouache and watercolor and I find my inspiration from the scriptures and the beauty of nature. All of my pieces are made with lots of love, with hopes that it'll encourage and brighten any one's day.

It is only through the support of my beloved friends, followers and most importantly God, that this shop is able to continue to keep growing. Thanks a whole bunch!

Production partners

  • Production Shop

    United Kingdom

This production partner helps me in making various products with my design. It is with their help that makes mugs, buttons and badges possible. All artwork and designs are original to me, but they do the incredible job of printing and putting together the physical pieces.

  • Production Facility

    MO, United States

I work directly with my cousin and her shop where she produces my ipad cases, ceramic travel mugs, etc. Since I don't have the space or capability to do it myself, I'm grateful to be able to work with her in creating these products!

  • Production Shop

They assist in assembling and production of products.

  • Print/Production Shop

Frequently asked questions
Do you offer digital downloads of your artwork?

In efforts to protect my personal paintings and designs (yes, I hand paint all of my designs, and very rarely do I use commercial fonts, most of them are hand painted as well) I do not offer digital downloads of my artwork or the files I personally use to make reproduction of my work. It is all too easy to lose credit of my personal work when digital files are distributed and reproduced.

I devote much time and effort into creating each and every one of my pieces, as each piece is like a piece of me. Please note that ALL of my products sold here are for personal use (or for gifts), so requests for the digital files of my work and the rights to print them will not be granted.

Do you offer discounts for those in full time service? (Ex: Regular Pioneer)

After much love and consideration, I decided to end giving discounts to those in full time service. I really thought about those who wished they could serve as a regular pioneer but did not have the circumstances (such as single parents, those with health issues) and felt bad that they couldn't. I didn't want to exclude them from a small discount and make them feel even less special.

I thought about the countless friends who give their best to Jehovah through their circumstances. That's when I decided that as I continue to release new products, I would release them at lower prices than what I'd normally offer, so that everyone benefits. Win-win!

I rely solely on my income through this shop. I appreciate your continued support!

Why do your items cost more than other JW shops?

In short - all of my designs are completely original - that is, hand painted, illustrated, including most of the lettering. I do not use digital clip-art purchased or downloaded from any other artist, nor do I use most commercial fonts (with the exception of a few).

Most of my lettering is originally painted by hand, scanned using a high resolution scanner and then digitally edited based on the application of use. The same goes for all patterns and illustrations. It's a time consuming process from sketching to final piece - an average design can take between 24-48 hours (collectively, not meaning 1-2 days) to complete.

I do not use any artwork or designs from - I respect their copyrights, and honestly, prefer to be original.

Custom and personalized orders

I am currently not taking any custom orders or requests due to my schedule. I realized that I need to be modest with my limitations, so I appreciate your understanding.

Can you make a specific item in a different language other than what’s available?

Due to the nature of my work as an illustrator along with the cost of production, I’m limited to what I currently offer in my shop. You may be familiar with the intense work that goes behind an accurate translation, so with that in mind, making products with various languages is a challenge. All of my work is originally hand painted along with the lettering, so it’s a time consuming process having to adjust each illustration to fit the lettering of various languages.
In order to offer reasonable prices for my products, I get my products made in bulk, often in the hundreds. This does limit what I can produce - being that I can only make items (and languages) that are of high demand.

I would like a digital file of a specific design to print on my own or to use on my tablet. Is that possible?

I appreciate that you enjoy my work! As a paper lover, I started my shop in efforts to share my artwork through various paper products that friends all over the world can enjoy. Like any other artist or illustrator, the digital files we use to produce our products are not open for distribution, even if it’s only going to be for personal use (all of my products are only for personal use/gifts). All of my work features my own hand painted illustrations.

Thanks for your understanding.
