We ship quickly and always respond to messages. We want you to be happy with your purchase and love hearing from our customers.

While I ship very quickly, often earlier than promised, I cannot control the postal service and delays that happen on their end. You will need to place your order at least two weeks from the date you must have it to ensure any issues during transit as the postal service is not something I can control.
This policy is put in place because I have had requests for full refunds when items are ordered late for holidays (and I have shipped immediately)--but the postal service can still delay an item's arrival. 
I will not refund any items due to postal service delays once I have shipped within my time frame noted on the order page. Thank you:)

My Second Spring

When I think about my own story and how I ended up here, I suppose it has been a sort of crunchy, natural --organic evolution, if you will, but not in the way you might think.

Second Spring Naturals began the summer after my 40th birthday when I decided to visit the essential oils and formulations I had explored during my college years...but never allowed myself to think about as a possibility for a line of work. If you have ever been in a place where you wanted to add a little color to your world, you might understand where I am coming from. All I knew back when I started this journey was that I wanted to lose the shades of beige and gray that permeated my wardrobe and my daily routine. I needed to live a little louder, experiment with more color and...take some chances.

For me, it had come down to a need for change. While I still identified very much as an educator and a bit of a rule follower (there isn't a label that doesn't follow FDA guidelines in this shop!), I was itching to break away from what I knew, and even the natural look of the products I loved no longer resonated.

You see, while I love to get my hands into the dirt of my organic garden, I'm also just as likely to throw on funky dresses and coral lipstick these days to match my toenails. My roots are wild, like natural waves in my hair. And calendula, aloe, oats and avocado oil might speak my love language, but so does a new streak of summer blonde sweeping across my forehead. That girl needed to emerge and wow is she glad she did.

Second Spring Naturals is full of the natural products I have always adored, but there will always be a pop of color or a bit of fanciful inspiration in the words because the literature teacher still speaks to me, and I hope she speaks to you.

Life is too short not to try that new thing or eat that peanut butter ice cream before yoga class or to sit with a Starbucks while you study for the class you were always too busy to take. The time is now to take care of you. You may as well find a little color while you discover what has always come naturally.

We believe in creating products for women with a combination of comfort and inspiration, something we strive to achieve in our own busy lives. We also attempt, whenever possible, to use mostly organic and vegan ingredients as a base for the products you now see on these pages.

Years of time and research have gone into our products. And love--but that goes without saying. XOX

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

We reserve the right to offer/not offer a replacement of a product after we discuss the situation with you. Contact us if there is an issue.

If we agree to a refund, you must first ship the item back to us and then we will refund. You will need to pay postage as most of our items ship for free upon initial order and paying shipping twice is simply too cost prohibitive for us as a small business.

Conditions where we will NOT refund:
• We will not refund if there is a postal delay AFTER we have shipped the item out on time. Unfortunately, USPS has delays and we are unable to control those. Please order with an appropriate time frame in order to leave time for postal errors or delays. We will not guarantee that any item will arrive by a certain date or holiday due to these unforeseen circumstances, but we CAN promise to ship your order in a timely fashion.

• You have entered an incorrect shipping address and wanted a gift box shipped to another party. Even if you message us, we cannot guarantee this. You will be responsible for paying the shipping if you need to reship the order once it arrives. We try to help and edit, but this doesn't always save correctly in the system.

• Shipping damage? Our boxes (and product packaging) are part of an effort to prevent that from happening. We cannot be held responsible for products once they leave the shop. Second Spring Naturals is not liable for damage incurred due to negligent handling of the carrier. We encourage you to purchase insurance to minimize your loss should your package be damaged while in transit should you still have a concern.
Payment
Payment is due upon checkout. At this time, we accept major credit/debit cards, and Paypal.

All order shipped to Pennsylvania will be charged a 6% sales tax.

**WE DO NOT ACCEPT MONEY ORDERS OR CHECKS**
Shipping
We use Etsy to ship and will ship to the address that comes up on the Etsy shipping page. If you use Paypal, make sure you don't have any Paypal conflicts with your addresses before you order--just a quick reminder! We will not be held responsible for shipping to addresses that you wanted to change. We ship to the address listed in the order. Even if you message us we cannot guarantee that we will see the message in time to change it as we ship many orders each day, though we will try to alway accommodate. Sometimes the system does not 'save' the new address. For these reasons, we will not be held responsible for errors in customers entering incorrect shipping information.

Your order will be shipped either USPS First Class or Priority, depending on the weight, but we ALWAYS track our packages. See note below on Lost and Stolen packages, please.

We've done our best to keep the shipping costs to a minimum, including combined shipping cost offerings, so be sure to check those out!

We ask for a few days to process and ship your order in order to allow for payments (Paypal) to go through and to account for the weekend postal lag time. We also know that things could come up and want to be sure we have that time available. That said, we're likely to get your order out much sooner, depending on the day you place it.


INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: We are not currently shipping internationally.


Lost or stolen packages
By placing an order, you agree that Second Spring Naturals cannot be held liable for lost or stolen packages.

if you contact us to let us know your package has not been delivered, but we have a 'delivered' status confirmed via tracking, per our LOST AND STOLEN policy below, we are not obligated to reship, exchange or refund; however, if the situation necessitates, the first thing we are going to do is send you the tracking image, and then we will open a case with USPS. We will not just send out a new package without investigation.

If you have skin sensitivities and/or allergies please read the ingredients listed prior to purchasing. Second Spring Naturals will not be held responsible for any allergic reaction, skin sensitivity, and/or irritation. Please do not use these products if you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients.

In short,

Some things are out of our control, like the heat. And post office delays. Certain items (soaps and lip balms) may be more prone to melt en route to warmer climates. Packages often sit on postal trucks or in a hot mailbox and we cannot be responsible for the condition of the product once it leaves our hands due to shipping conditions. The only we CAN do in the event something arrives a bit 'soft' is advise you to put it in the freezer or refrigerator for 30-60 minutes. You can also avoid leaving items in the mailbox as we also are diligent about doing on our end.
Privacy
Updated policy statement to comply with GDPR for EU members, though it is noted that Second Spring Naturals only sells within the US at this time. At Second Spring Naturals we care about your privacy and under the new GDPR Law introduced in the EU on the 25th of May. We've taken steps to make sure your personal data is safe and secure. In line with the new law we'd like to remind all EU members that we only keep your personal data for the length of time as is necessary for processing of orders and for our own tax records. You also have a right to any data we keep and that your inclusion in our group/page is voluntary and you can subscribe at any time. Your information is only shared with the immediate companies we need to in order to process your orders. We care about you and your personal data and thank you for your continued support.

In order to fulfil your order we rely on Etsy to provide us with the necessary data needed in order to process your order in a timely manner. The data we collected is email, Name and Address. We may also contact you for additional information such as a phone number if the need comes up.

We are located in Pennsylvania, United States outside of the EU and as such use US companies or Canadian Companies to store your data. The companies I use have the same privacy policies in place as stated here.

Choosing to shop with a company outside of the EU means your data is subject to a new jurisdiction and subsequently new laws. However we protect your rights upon the transference with the above security measures.

Informing of rights.

As a residence of the EU, you are subject to rights and privacy laws under the GDPR law.

Custom and personalized orders

We are happy to provide custom orders and often send gifts items with personalization. Contact us to discuss options prior to placing your order.

Care instructions

Handmade soaps are will last a long time provided that you keep them either on a soap dish on in a soap saver bag. They need to dry out between uses. Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.


Policy on Handmade Products

We formulate our soaps, creams and other handmade products with wonderful oils and natural ingredients (in most cases as we do use premium fragrance oils and micas/pigments), but they are not made with the intent to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent medical conditions.

Store out of the reach of children.

For topical use only. Discontinue if rash, redness or itching occurs. Consult a physician of irritation persists. Consult a physical if you suspect you may have an allergy to an ingredient.

Gift wrapping and packaging

If you would like an order placed in a gift box with our signature ribbon and a card, we are happy to create a custom order for you. Contact us to set this up.

Wholesale availability

We offer wholesale body creams and soap loaves currently. We are in the process of setting up our line sheet on Etsy Wholesale for soap loaves only. Please visit our website at www.secondspringnaturals.com to inquire about other wholesale options.
