Playing with shapes and colors to make unique, modern jewelry

I started making earrings as a form of creative relaxation and meditation. That it would also result in more fun jewelry to wear was a perk, of course.

Then in summer of 2020, I realized I could use this new passion to raise money to contribute to our community, particularly to Black liberation movements and LGBTQ resources. That's what pushed me to start my own shop. Social justice is and will always be center to my mission at Secret Handshake Designs.

It's an honor to turn little pieces of my imagination into something tangible that brings you joy when you get dressed. Thank you for stopping by and supporting my shop!

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions

- each piece is handmade, so although clay is generally durable, try to be gentle and loving with your new jewelry.

- store in a dry, cool place where pieces won't be knocked around too much. keep away from sharp objects that could scratch the clay surfaces.

- don't swim or shower in your jewelry.

- avoid using perfumes, oils, creams, etc. while wearing, as this may cause damage/discoloration.

- clay is porous, so contact with dyed materials may cause stains. wipe the jewelry with water, and if that doesn't work, try a small amount of alcohol on a cotton swab.
