I am very pleased with the earrings! They are as I had expected, so pretty. They look very nice on me.
nHOWEVER, and this is for UK customers: if your order is over £15, it will be stopped at customs and you will have to pay an outstanding fee. My earrings were £16.56 and I had to pay £12 as fees. I was told at the delivery office that to stop this from happening, you should have each earring sent separately with the earring's individual price marked on the package. That way, you can get around it.
nI'll probably be buying again but I'll ask the seller to send me the earrings separately!
Custom Peyote Jewelry
I was given a spiritual name at the age of 2 in Oakland California by my spiritual teacher from Northern India, Gurumayi. You may have heard the term Gita from the Guru Gita or the Bhagavad Gita, an Indian tale, sometimes on college english reading list.
Gita means Song.
After living in Hawaii for a few years as a baby I moved back to Philadelphia PA. There I began to sing both at an Indian temple where I sang Indian chants as well as at school for various performances and choir presentations. Singing and song writing is still an active part of my life as I record music regularly and am driven to become a professional singer one day.
My dearest mother, Amelia, taught me beading techniques when I was only a little girl. At the precious age of 10 I was weaving using the peyote stitch. I also began sewing at age 8 and have been braiding African American hair since 10. Along with these grateful skills I have been a vegetarian since birth and truly enjoy cooking. I have also been a yogi of the sweet Mother Ammachi and Gurumayi since birth.
After spending most of my adolescent years in Philadelphia, I moved to the magical Hawaiian islands. I absorbed much of the Hawaiian culture and Asian culture that predominates the islands while living and attending university. There I gained an immense appreciation for our green friends and the organic balance of life.
Hawaii has taught me about the experiences shared by different people especially those cultures whom are close to their indigenous histories. Hawaii is a paradise of learning and understanding.
I share this with you to introduce you not only to my craft of beads but for you to know I am a believer of spirituality, the magical mysteries of mother earth, the necessity to respect our neighbors and our environment and the importance and beauty of art!

Quick Foodie tip: If you're looking for a great salad to snap into Vegetarianism you must try this cabbage salad. Use your favorite salad ingredients but add thinly thinly sliced cabbage. Make sure to include onions, garlic, cucumbers and carrots (marinaded in lemon juice). Add some delicious tomatoes and avocado, fresh herbs from the garden and of course the magic blend: Olive oil, nutritional yeast, cumin powder, cayenne, and Soy Sauce or Braggs. ENJOY!
Heres a quick Health tip: If you are ever sick with a fever of some sort, get yourself some fresh garlic, chop it, throw it on a spoon and top with honey. Take this remedy several times until the fever reduces.
This has been a lifetime home remedy thanks to my dearest mother Amelia.
