Seeds grown on Vancouver Island British Columbia Canada

Parksville, Canada

Announcement    All of my seeds are grown on site in Errington British Columbia. They are grown using organic (veganic) and no-dig practices, are non-GMO (of course), and all are open pollinated. They are either heritage heirloom seeds, open pollinated, landrace, and/or open source. I germination test all of my seeds.

None of my seeds are imported, and none of my seeds have patents (organic open-pollinated seeds are often patented and may not be marked as such!) I believe in patent-free seeds that are grown on-site, or in the same bio region as the seller. I do not believe in importing bulk seeds from far away and re-packaging seeds like most companies do.

I also believe in supporting landrace varieties for genetic diversity that helps with resiliency.

Growing all of my own seeds makes my job harder, and it means I don't earn much in the end, but we believe in what I do! And it means it's a better product in the end.

Please support patent-free seeds that are grown locally! Support women farmers! Support solo farmers! Support solo women farmers! Your garden and growing season will love you for it, and it helps support a more resilient and food-safe future in the face of climate change.

I am an experienced online seller and have operated several e-comm shops here on Etsy and on other sites. You can view my USA selling experience at http://www.etsy.com/shop/WesternGardenSeeds where I have sold almost 1000 items.
