From Baby to Community

Seed Stitches came about after the birth of my daughter, Olivia. Baby and children's clothing can get so expensive, but of course I wanted to dress her up in unique and personalized onesies and outfits! After many experiments with knitting, sewing and hand-stitching designs, the idea of the iron-on applique struck me as the best route to go -- it is the easiest and quickest way to personalize an outfit or accessory, but there isn't so much time invested that you will get upset with a spill or stain (of which there are many....)!

Also with the birth of a child, comes a greater sense of community, responsibility and charity. Luckily, our family is happy and healthy, but there are so many families out there that are struggling. It is with this in mind, that we decided a percentage of our profits in all sales would be donated to a major, nationwide charity. We donate 25% of all profits to the Boys & Girls Club of America, the Make-a-Wish Foundation or the American Red Cross. (We will also do our best to accommodate other charity requests.) In doing so, we hope that this small act can help make a difference in some families' and children's lives!
