Hi Welcome to seek2sustain we are a mother and daughter creative team, we mainly focus on creating jewellery through silver smithing or beading. We are evolving our range from just handmade to handmade and ethically sourced. Thanks for visiting
Shop policies
We are a mother and daughter creative team, we mainly focus on creating jewellery through silver smithing or beading. We started in 2009 with standard beads buying whatever took our fancy, but we wanted to try and be more responsible jewellers. We tried to find ethical findings but there were limited or no retailers, we saw other people crying out for similar products. So we got tired of trying to find more ethical jewellery components for our creations, so decided to make our own. Now we have our own supply, we wanted to encourage other crafters to be more responsible, so we have decided to try and sell some of our 100% recycled silver findings so they can make their own wonderful creations, but if you don’t have the time check out our handmade or vintage jewellery lines.

Shipping
Shipping is charged per item but we do combined shipping. Single items of £100.00 or more will qualify for FREE shipping or REDUCED shipping for Australia and Canada.
UK orders will be sent by Royal Mail First Class.
Orders for other countries will be sent by Royal Mail International Standard.
AUSTRALIA - Please note items of value i.e. silver and gold and jewellery are prohibited by Royal Mail for delivery to Australia. As a consequence we will have to use a courier service and therefore the shipping costs have been adjusted to reflect this.
International Tracked & Signed and insurance are available at additional cost on checkout.
Orders placed from outside the UK may be subject to import duties and taxes. These may be levied once the goods reach your country. It is a legal requirement that we declare the full value of the goods (excluding delivery charges) on all parcels to be delivered outside the EU. The buyer is responsible for paying these charges. For further details of customs charges please consult your own customs authorities.
Additional policies and FAQs
We try to avoid buying jewellery which doesn’t fit with our ethics or morals such as the following:
•We don’t agree with killing animals for fashion in the past or present, therefore we do our best to avoid such items
For example we try to avoid Fur, Real Pearls, etc. We would however buy products that are a bi-product such as leather or bone, which has not been killed solely for fashion.
•We also try to avoid jewellery which has questionable ethics. For example products which depict activities such as bear dancing, or other questionable moral subjects.
However as we sometimes buy in bulk we do occasionally purchase such items. Therefore we had a great debate and produced the following policy, reduce, recycle and reuse.
Reduce
We try to reduce the number of the above items by sifting through the jewellery whereever possible and avoiding lots or items which don’t fit with seek2sustain’s or our own ethos.
Recycle
We also try to avoid sending any jewellery or parts to landfill, therefore we have decided to sell these items to avoid waste.
Reuse
We try to bring jewellery that is in a questionable state of repair or broken into reuse by creating new items of jewellery or selling them to other makers who can make use of them.
It has taken a long time to develop this policy as there is no answer that is 100% right. However we believe this not only educates the buyer about the questionable nature of new animal products of this nature. It also saves the piece from landfill.
Jewellery and jewellery parts that are not of questionable ethics but don’t meet our standard will be sold to other makers/sellers.
