Fashion, costume jewellery and accessories inspired by tattoos, vintage lace, cupcakes, skulls, cameos, zombies and cats
Jewellery should always reflect the wearer’s personality, and no where is that more obvious than in the work of Toronto based jewellery artisan and tattoo artist Georgia Kristoffersen. I’ve always been an artist which eventually led to my current job as a tattooist.
The name Seirene was influenced by stories of sea nymphs who, by their sweet singing, lured mariners to destruction on the rocks surrounding their island.
Most of my items are one of a kind, being taken from other old vintage pieces, found charms and other items that inspire. Unique pieces with a fun sense of humour – a wink and a nod to sailors, mermaids, cats, Day of the Dead, and, of course, kraaken (because who doesn’t love a giant squid?).
This isn’t jewellery for the shy or tepid: the people who buy Seirene jewellery are probably bold and edgy and colourful.
But you just know they’re having all the fun.
