The custom scarf I ordered is fashionable, warm, and goes great with the previous Slytherin beanie I purchased! Selphie was on top of things and communicated effectively to ensure it was the scarf I was wanted.

Shipped earlier than expected. Hubby wears it all the time. The handwritten note was a really nice personal touch that was a pleasant surprise and very appreciated.

Thank you so much for this hat! It matches the other Ravenclaw gear that I have perfectly! Also, loved the note I received with my order, it was a wonderful final touch. Thanks again!

Geeky love inspires an adventure in business.

The Harry Potter wedding happened and I owe so much thanks to those of you who purchased my wares. We were featured on mugglenet and offbeat bride. Read below to see this business's origin story...
Geek meets geek. Geeks fall in love. Fast forward a few years of happily geeky dating and it's winter of 2013...

Jesse and I had just gotten engaged in May, you see, and weddings are expensive so I needed a Christmas gift for my family that would be personal without busting the bank so I set forth to finally learn to crochet, bought two skeins of yarn and began making some of the ugliest hats humankind has ever seen. Luckily, time and over 100 hats have passed and they're quite cute now!

After the holidays were over, I was sad to not be crocheting anymore. I had finally gotten good at it even! I wondered if I could make a few more and maybe take orders from friends to offset the cost of yarn... My ever-supportive and loving fiance encouraged me to take it one step farther-- sell online and at conventions! I decided then and there that any profits I made would go towards our Harry Potter themed wedding.

I scoured what felt like the entire face of the earth (or at least the internet) looking for the perfect colors of super soft and washable acrylic yarns that matched the geeky themes I had in mind and met other quality criteria I set for my product such as weight and texture. Jesse held one of my hands in his while my other swiped our debit card and made the investment in more yarn than I'd ever imagined owning.

Gulp. This was a HUGE risk on a hobby! But luckily we get to fast forward one more time to today where I am happily crocheting 20 signature designs, dreaming of the homes they'll have one day atop cute, nerdy heads.

The wedding is quickly approaching (June 26th, 2015) and I have been so grateful for my customers who helped me add a little bit to our piggy bank for the event. We won't able to create the perfect, magical day we're envisioning without this support so everyone who buys, shares, or sends well wishes is appreciated<3
