Beautiful Handmade Jewellery

I started the shop because my husband thought that people would buy my handmade jewellery.

I spend a lot of time on each piece of jewellery that I make. If I would not wear it I would not sell it. I like learning new techniques and perfecting them. I use genuine gemstones a lot because they look so pretty, and I think the jewellery is so much classier with them.

I have been given permission by Far Fetched Fiction author Robert Rankin to use his quotes in my jewellery and accessories. This has given me a lot of scope for design ideas, and I am currently re-reading my way through his books for new quotes to use.

My husband and I also run a card shop on Etsy.

I am a chartered librarian. I started making jewellery when I was on my honeymoon. We were on a cruise and there was a jewellery making workshop, and I really enjoyed it. When we got home I started making jewellery and everyone I knew suddenly started getting it for their birthdays. I was made redundant in May 2011 and this gave me more time to devote to my hobby. I learnt new skills like Macrame. My husband suggested that I try to sell my pieces, so my Etsy shop was born. I make every piece with care. If I wouldn't wear it, I won't sell it.
