The first painting I did was an oil portrait when I was about 6-7 years old. With my sister in the afternoons, we took art classes for kids. I painted our yellow canary posing in a branch. She painted our grandfather in his clock's atelier. Both paintings were proudly hung in our grandparents' home :)

In elementary school, my favorite subject was drawing. With each project, I felt the hope that it will be a really good drawing, better than the last one. It may sound weird but I felt that. At a very early age, I was pleased to beat myself.

When I was 8 years carnival arrives. We had to disguise as a profession. I dressed up as a painter.

I grew up doodling pictures in my friend’s diaries, painting their names, and making caricatures of themselves. Also drew in school books, desks, foggy windows, crystals dirty cars... in my school homework...

Years passed away and I had to decide what to study. Took the way of art. I thought it would be fun and would have to study less. It looked easy but it was not. It was the firsts time that I had "serious" art projects in my hands. For me, each exercise was extremely important. I was thinking about it on the way home, on the train, in the shower, at dinner time, at night... And that thinking is addictive. It sounds exaggerated but true.

When I finished high school pointed to an art school in Barcelona: Pau Gargallo. I studied for 5 years with a professional-grade in illustration and painting. I had a great time with all the people in my class, I felt that we were all cells of the same molecule. We were all so different and so similar at the same time. I find there finally my tribe. All dreamers who lived more in the world of ideas and humor than in the real adult world. I learned so much there, although I did not realize it at that time. I feel immense love for my teachers Paulina Muxart, Maria Núñez, Carme Garolera and Jordi Cuyàs.

I had an artistic period in 2007 in which only (and I mean ONLY) painted faces of white cats on large canvases. I did 3 exhibitions in Barcelona (where I am from) and then I managed my first assignments as a professional painter. I continued painting more cats, dogs, and also two birds.

I fell in love with the watercolor technique in 2012. I began painting my marbles collection. I painted other stuff and decided to open my own Etsy store to sell my art prints: SesCaniques.

One day experimenting with my new watercolors I did a portrait of my nieces. I love that challenge and I start painting more portraits of family and friends… I put an ad in this store offering my services as a portrait painter. It works.

I portray children, siblings living apart, women cancer survivors, parents, friends of friends, couples who are promised, grandchildren that have their grandparents away... Flower lovers, sea lovers, cats lovers, nephews... Dogs lovers, people who are no longer with us… Anniversary gifts for parents, gifts for boyfriends, husbands,s girlfriends, wives...

I have met many people with this passion and I still do. People tell me bits of their lives, talk, and debate to give the special feeling that they want to convey with the artwork. I do everything in my power to exceed their expectations and is very rewarding for my appreciation and happiness.

This fills my life and wanted to share it with you.
