About

My dream of having a "quilt shop" finally happens!

Like many others, a regular pay-check job supported our family until I retired. Eventually I ended up helping hubby at his family's grocery store esta'd in 1943!! The closer "he" got to wanting to go fishing, the more he let me change from groceries to quilting supplies! In 2012, he even let me bring my Gammill quilting machine into the store, and from there the quilting part grew & grew. People always wanted to know "do you give lessons?" So then we started classes!
During the summer of 2013, we held "free" sewing times using donated fabrics and even donated batting (thank you, MODA) to make "charity quilts" for Oklahoma's tornado victims. Lots of people took advantage of the "free" to learn to make patchwork and even to learn to quilt on the Gammill. All that sharing of our space and resources is truly special & part of what makes going to work every days more like fun!
I still participate in making QOVs an have donated over 80 pillowcases during the Million Pillowcase challenge from my personal stash. I hope you'll find supplies & quilts in our shop that you'll cherish as much as we do.

I am a life-long sewer/crafter who loves to share what I've found/learned. I teach at our shop & make quilts, finish other people's quilt tops for them, both new & vintage. I quilt on a Gammill Classic Plus since 1995.

    Fellow Quilter

Karen is a quilting friend- long time quilt top maker who recently got her own quilting machine and now finishes her own quilts. Some of those quilts are available in this shop.
