Announcement   Sew Betty and Dot is your source for vintage sewing patterns, notions, and fabrics--I love them and hope you will too! Please check out my other Etsy shop, Betty and Dot, for lots of other fab vintage goodies (as well as lots of positive feedback from satisfied customers): bettyanddot.etsy.com

I mail out parcels on Mondays and Fridays, generally; if you need something more quickly, be sure to let me know and I'll do my very best to accommodate your schedule.

I am happy to ship internationally--just please be aware that parcels can take several weeks to reach you (and apologies about the high price of shipping!); buyers are also responsible for any VAT/taxes/fees in their own countries.

I actually could not wait to leave a review on this order. My pattern arrived right away and in the condition as stated in the listing. I can't wait to use it for my creations. The shop owner was very nice and I received my package well wrapped and protected and even a little something extra as a surprise. I will shop here again! Thank you so much for a pleasant shopping experience.

About

Love vintage sewing supplies? Me too, so let's talk!

Welcome to Sew Betty and Dot, home of vintage sewing goodness! I’m obsessed with sewing AND vintage, so the things in my shop are truly the things I collect. My mom always sewed when I was young, and I have very fond memories of going to the fabric store and looking through the pattern catalogues (those patterns that she and I sewed are now vintage, by the way!), but it was the artwork on the front of the envelopes that first lit the fire under me to start collecting.

I’ve only been collecting since about 2009; that renewed interest came from a garage sale where there were two BIG boxes of sewing patterns marked “Free.” I grabbed them and ran, half expecting to be stopped with my treasure. If those people only knew what they started! It’s amazing to me that people even now are often mystified and ask me why in the world anyone would want a vintage sewing pattern—and that’s sometimes followed by the tragic news that they’ve just cleaned out grandma’s attic and threw away a ton of patterns {sob}.

I love fabric and buttons and trim, and I have an extensive collection of vintage sewing books—I’m particularly interested in books that taught children to sew.

If you share my love for vintage sewing accoutrements, please have a look around!

I have always loved all things vintage, from a very early age, and I'll always remember my first vintage frock score at a Salvation Army in my hometown of Lexington, Kentucky. My obsession with vintage continues to this day (I also love chickens!).
