From Editor to Designer
How did I get here?
I graduated 8th of my class in 1989 with hopes of becoming a paralegal. After finding out how much schooling that would take and having to work my way through school, I opted for a business management/accounting degree.
It wasn’t long after college graduation I was married and starting a family. My career suddenly didn’t seem as important as raising my children. It was then I started sewing. I started out with a pillow and since I’m always up for a challenge I moved on to baby clothes. Realizing I had a real talent, I was sewing everything – clothes for kids, clothes for me. I was sewing almost everyday.
After my divorce I was no longer able to stay home and landed a job at a local newspaper. I started out as a part-time typist and within a few months was made editorial assistant. Four years later I was made editor of a sister weekly newspaper but sadly let go after two years. I was devastated.
After hearing about Etsy and lots of encouragement from my family, Sew Endless was born in April of 2009. Being the owner of my own shop was something I used to daydream about while working behind my computer in the newsroom.
Sew Endless is a one-woman show. I design, create and manufacture bags and purses for women and children. Photo bags and accessories are my specialty. I am responsible for every aspect of this business from drawing the patterns to filing my taxes. I have to say I love the bookkeeping just as much as the designing. Thank goodness for that business degree.
My inspiration comes from my buyers, some of whom I now call my friends. Most of my products started out as custom requests and accredit to them my success.
I have remarried and have 6 children and 2 stepchildren. My family is my biggest support. They are my cheerleaders.
Sewing has been in my family for generations. I come from a long line of seamstresses. My mom recalls stories, as told by my Nana, that date back to my mom’s great-grandmother. During those days, living in a valley in Alabama, sewing was a necessity. They made all of their clothing, even using sugar sacks for panties. Nana said she didn't own a pair of underwear that didn't have something stamped across her backside. As a teenager, when my mom seriously started sewing, I remember the whirring of her machine as she worked for hours making Christmas presents and dresses for special occasions.
I feel honored to have a gift that continues a legacy which has preceded me for generations.

Owner, Creator, Designer
I am a stay-at-home mom of six children. I make custom items, specializing in photo bags and accessories. I love working with people and helping them design the perfect bag. In the process I am making more than a special bag, I'm making a friend.
Please contact me if you have any questions about my policies or any of my items. My e-mail is always up and I can usually get back to you within an hour.
I have been sewing for 19 years and make all of these items in my non-smoking home. Much attention is paid to quality and detail. All stress points are double- and triple-stitched and bags are fully lined.
