Providing a "home away from home" for military families to be close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury.******

I've been wanting to get into paper crafting for some time now, and will be offering handmade cards in my shop, as well as sewn items!

I learned to sew as a child. I spent many happy hours with my grandmother, learning the magic that could be created from her old Singer sewing machine.

Fast forward almost 10 years.... As a teen with no money, I realized I possessed a skill that would afford me new clothes when I couldn't buy them. My 7th grade school picture shows me wearing a peasant blouse and jumper that I made myself! Once I even pulled a Scarlett O'hara and sewed up the most lovely vest from, you guessed it, an old curtain. Hand embroidered with a bouquet of flowers growing out of a pocket on the front, I thought that vest was the most special thing I owned. I wore it with my bell bottom jeans, platform clogs, and it was a hit! Back then I was too embarrassed to tell anyone I made it from a curtain. Now I would so brag about that detail.

Fast forward another 10 years.... I'm married, sewing curtains
( for windows not clothes) for our first apartment. Soon I was making Christmas dresses and Halloween costumes for our two daughters . There were so many things I would have loved to sew, but little time during those years.

Fast forward 10 years again.... I'm making extra income embroidering Irish Dance costumes for a local dance school. I've also established my "official" business, SewFaithful. I even taught sewing classes for a year or so to eager little girls (and one of their moms) Now I seem to be making curtains, pillows, and home accents for everyone's house except my own! I do sneak in a few things for myself once in a while though :)

Ok, this is the last time, I promise.

Fast forward 10 years once more.... And here I am. I still have my sewing business (obviously, or you wouldn't be reading this). I went through an heirloom sewing phase-sewing things like elaborate Christening gowns, while learning very specialized techniques with lace, tucks, and fine fabrics. I still love heirloom sewing. I collect vintage linens and enjoy recreating the look of those wonderful treasures. I now sew whatever I find beautiful, interesting, and just fun. Yes I still get requests for projects like curtains, flower girl dresses and such. And if I can't resist the beautiful fabric, I usually say yes.

Ahhh... Beautiful fabrics are what it's all about !!!!!!!!!!!

PS-How is it that I'm only 39 when we've fast forwarded 10 years 4 times?

My grandmother taught me to sew when I was a little girl. She gave me her scrap material to play with, and I would sew them together to make little books or doll clothes. She was my first sewing teacher. Who knew I would love it so much?

My goal is to provide unique handmade gifts for every age and gender. I'm hoping to add new things to the shop on a regular basis, so check back often, and thanks for looking.

I'm blessed to be a part of a caring Christian community on Etsy, where I've made many dear friends.

I accept pay-pal, and credit card payments. If payment is not received within 2 business days I will need to cancel your order and relist the item.
If you wish to pay with a personal check, I will hold your purchase until the check clears. I reserve the option to cancel your order if I do not receive your check within 7 business days of your purchase date.
I must collect sales tax on orders purchased and shipped in Pennsylvania.
Shipping
I have updated my shipping costs in accordance with new US Postal Service rates in effect Jan 26, 2013.

I will ship any item currently in my shop, anywhere in the US, within 2 business days of your completed payment, with the exception of made to order items. Most of my items are light enough to ship First Class mail which is the most economical. That is what I will use. If you would like an upgrade to Priority mail, just let me know and I will calculate a price for you.

Most of my International shipping costs are for 1st Class Mail. (the least expensive option).
If you would like a quote for Priority shipping, please contact me.

If you live in a country other than ones I have listed, you may convo me with your address, and I will research postage costs for you. I am not opposed to shipping internationally, it is just hard to estimate the cost without specific address.

Due to items having to clear customs on International shipments, I have no way to guarantee an exact delivery date. Unfortunately the post office does not offer tracking information for international first class mail at this time.

Please know that I try to be fair with the postage estimated, and it does include a very small cost for packaging and materials.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be totally happy with your purchase. If it arrives and you feel it was not as I described, please contact me to work something out.

If you would like your package insured, let me know, and I will add that cost to your invoice.
Additional policies and FAQs
I accept custom orders. Just contact me with your request, and I will do my best to respond promptly.
