This is another band that I've made for myself. I wore it to my very first book signing, so it'll always be lucky to me.
The Sewing Samurai is the result of a fast approaching novel deadline and the writer's block impeding it.
You'll never know what you're going to find listed in my shop because all of my work is the direct result of writer's block.
For my day job, I write fiction for young adults. So I have deadlines. Lots of 'em. And what I've found is, whenever I've been staring at the same sentence for over an hour with no forward movement, the best thing I can do to get over the block is to open another creative outlet.
And because writer's block hits a little more frequently than I would like, my craft room began to fill up with more hand sewn accessories than myself or my daughter could possibly wear.
And so The Sewing Samurai was born.
So know that each and every item listed in my shop is a creation born late at night in the midst of subplots and characterization.
