Thank you for visiting Sew Much Whimsy. My soft sculptured art dolls are created using original patterns and a combination of new and vintage fabrics, laces, and jewelry. No two are ever exactly alike. My one of a kind picture frames are wood frames, covered and padded, by hand, with beautiful fabrics and embellished with vintage and new laces and jewelry, as well as hand made fabric flowers. Most of my work is done with old fashioned hand sewing. Very little glue is used.

Since many of my sculptures are made from vintage materials, some yellowing of fabric and lace, or jewelry with missing stones is expected. This is not a defect of the piece, but instead adds to its unique charm.

The sculptures are intended to be hung (which they are designed to do), or placed on a doll stand. Stands are readily available at most craft stores. Often, children are drawn to the fun and whimsical nature of my sculptures. That delights me. However, my pieces are not toys and are not intended for children's play. They are often wonderful additions to a child's room, kept out of the reach of very young children.

Occasionally I am asked how my art dolls can be used in a home. Use them as you would any piece of art or sculpture, hung on a wall or standing on a mantel or shelf. They are wonderful conversation pieces and are sure to be noticed in your home. They also make wonderful gifts and are sure to bring delight to whomever receives them.
If you plan to store seasonal sculptures, I suggest that you do so at room temperature. Do not store in an attic. This will protect the vintage materials.
