Hi! My name is Maria and I am the owner and seamstress at ScriptureMint. My journey started when a soon to be missionary asked me to make her a scripture case, that evolved into what we now call ScriptureMint. I create my own patterns, and sew each cover by hand at the time you order it. I love picking out new fabrics to add as shop regulars and I also LOVE working with my customers to find a custom fabric for them! Each item on my shop may be customized in the sense that if you're not a fan of chevron or floral, you can message me and we can find the right fabric that matches your style. I am ready to go above and beyond for you!

    Maria is the owner of ScriptureMint. She is also the seamstress, the pattern maker, the marketer, the shipper and the customer support for ScriptureMint. She does all of that while working full time M-F and being the fur mom to 5 furry children.

    Toby can be found keeping his mom company while she sews away. He likes to check out final products and sometimes even helps pick the fabrics! He thinks there should be more dog patterned fabrics available.

    Roger actually lives in the sewing room and runs on his wheel while mom sews away, which makes mom happy and thus inspires her to sew.

    Photographer, Assistant

    All of the pretty listing pictures are taken by Joe, who also happens to be Maria's husband. He also helps Maria decide which fabrics should go on the shop and he cheers her on when she feels overwhelmed.

I believe in going above and beyond to make my client's happy. Unless I am very busy, I am typically very quick to answer messages because I want my clients to know that I am here for them!

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale
Customer service is a priority for ScriptureMint. I want you to love owning your ScriptureMint item as much as I enjoy making it. If you are not satisfied, please contact me right away.

Orders using a fabric we pick together, orders with specific measurements for your book/bible/etc, sold as is listings are NOT refundable. If you're unsure on a pattern or color, please order a swatch! We strive to work with you before purchase to be sure the color is what you want!

Exchanges and refunds, less shipping cost, of new, unused items are accepted up to 7 days from the date your item arrives. You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping. I do not accept returns without prior communication and if feedback is given. Failure to contact me about an exchange upon receipt of the item and/or leaving feedback implies acceptance of the transaction as is. Please do get in touch, I am committed to creating a quality product and providing excellent service and if there is an issue I know we can work together to find a solution.

Per Etsy's policy, refund of your money can take anywhere from 3-5 business days, not counting for the 48 hours from processing the refund. Refunds also depend on your bank. If you have not seen your refund within 2 weeks of the refund being processed, please contact me so I can take it up with Etsy, as I have no control of how money is taken or returned.

Lost packages: I have shipped many packages with NO package loss incidents. In the rare event that a package goes missing, please note that a claim will be filed with the postal service and photographic proof will be required for damaged items.

Please contact me via Etsy conversations. If you have any concerns please contact me prior to leaving feedback here on Etsy, so that I may have the opportunity to help you or correct any problems.
All payment must be made in full before item can be sent. Right now, We only accept credit cards.

Please make sure your address is up to date when you check out. We will ship to the address provided at check out.

International customers please note that any taxes, custom's fees or tariffs are the responsibility of the buyer. The amounts of these potential fees are determined by the custom's agent and not something we can estimate.

UK customers please note. There have been recent changes to taxes and tariffs in the UK. Please check with your custom's office to be sure you know what to expect when purchasing something from the US. The shipping cost you pay here is the actual shipping cost we pay to the US postal service and does not cover potential taxes or tariffs charged to you by the UK.

Sales tax will be added to invoices for CA residents at the rate of 7.5%.
Please make sure you look at the processing date. Unless you have contacted me to ask me for faster shipping, I have until the end of the processing time to send you the item!

If you do not agree to the processing time, then you can cancel your order within 48 hours. After the 48 hours, you will need to pay an expedited fee to jump in front of my order queue.

International orders ship via USPS First Class International Mail if under 4 Pounds. First Class International Mail is neither insurable or trackable. I am happy to upgrade your shipping to Global Express mail which is trackable. If you are interested in this shipping upgrade, please contact me for a shipping quote prior to purchase. Please note, we are NOT responsible for any customs fees or taxes and these fees are not included in the shipping cost. Custom's fees and import taxes are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

All US orders have 3 different choices for shipping. The standard shipping which is USPS First Class mail (3-5 days), Priority Mail (1-3 days) and Priority Mail Express (1-2 days). Keep in mind that this is on top of processing times. You will receive an email with your shipping date and a tracking number for convenience!

Please please please contact me if you have any questions about an item. I want you to be satisfied with your order. I am not held responsible for assumptions made by the customer. Please read all descriptions and look at all photos before you buy.

I will not accept any returned items on custom orders. If at any point during a conversation we have you see the words "custom order" and you agree, then you are acknowledging that the item you will purchase is non refundable.

I like the case/cover style, but I want another fabric pattern. Can you help?

Yes I can help! I LOVE going to the fabric store to look for a fabric that matches your style, so please do not be afraid to contact me for custom fabric requests!

Do I have to pay extra if I pick out a "custom" fabric with you?

Nope! You do not have to pay extra for any custom fabric orders. But you do have to pay the regular case amount (no sale prices).

I like the case/cover style, but I want to add something else to it like handles/pockets/etc. Do you do that?

Yes I do! But there will be an extra charge so contact me before ordering. If you order and then contact me about a customization, your transaction will be cancelled and then I will set up a custom listing for you. Or you can send me the difference via venmo or paypal.

I ordered a custom case/cover, but my measurements were off or I ordered the wrong size. Will you refund?

I do not offer refunds on custom orders of any kind. Style or fabric. This is because I don't know if I am going to be able to resale.
