Hello and welcome to my shop, Sew Shellz

Sew Shellz specializes in boutique clothing that is known for fun color combinations. With a touch of whimsy here and a little more whimsy there, only the best designer fabrics are used. Each item is carefully handcrafted and designed to make heads turn. All seams are professionally finished and fabric is pre-washed before construction to ensure your clothing will not shrink. At Sew Shellz you'll receive nothing but the very best for your child.

ABOUT ME: Michelle Z, Shop Creator

After having children I was inspired to start sewing and before I knew it I was hooked. Sew Shellz started as a blog: a place for me to share my creations with family and friends. It wasn't long afterwards that (after much persuasion) I decided to open shop. As for what inspires me now, that's a tough one. I would have to say certain fabrics really get the creative juices flowing, but color is a huge inspiration. I love playing with color and mixing colors that people wouldn't think to mix. I love for my clothing to stand out and have a voice of its own. I often wonder if my love for fashion and design was something impressed upon me at an early age. I grew up in NY surrounded by a large family of women. Looking back I realize now that these women weren't just any women, they were fashionista's. Not only did they have purses and shoes for every outfit (YES, every single one), they also had wigs. Those women knew how to dress and dress in style. My Nana (grandmother) was one of 17 children and a seamstress herself.

I love designing and coming up with new ideas, but I would have to say the most rewarding part of what I do would be the photographs that I receive back from customers and charities I work with. Seeing those happy little faces wearing something I designed makes it all worthwhile. I treasure those images.

Pay Pal only at this time and you may use a credit card on their site. Payments should be made within 24 hrs of checkout.
All of my listings will have one shipping option of First Class mail. If you need another method (to receive quicker), please let me know and a custom listing will be arranged for you to cover additional costs. Please note that most custom orders take 2-3 weeks before they are ready for shipment. Each listing should provide you with the details on when you should expect your order to be shipped. Always feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have.

I will ship internationally by the most economical method (first class). If there is a tracking number, I will provide that to you. If you want to make sure your order has tracking or additional insurance that it otherwise would not have, please contact me before ordering as I will have to create a custom listing for you to cover the additional costs. Ready to Ship items should be sent out within 3-5 days of payment received. Custom made orders make take 2-3 weeks for production before shipment. The amount of time the item takes to get to you depends on its destination (will let you know after shipment), but the quoted timeframe has no guarantee as the USPS has no control over customs and how long the item sits there. If you are ordering an item that you want ASAP, please let me know and I can get some quotes from the USPS for you on faster delivery. NOTE: if customs or duty fees are applied, they are the responsibility of the buyer.
Refunds and Exchanges
To date I've not had a sizing issue come up with any of my customers, but please note I will not be able to accept returns based on buyer sizing errors. Shop with confidence, because I will accept exchanges for another item in the shop. The original item to be exchanged must also be returned to me at your cost.
Additional policies and FAQs

RTS ITEMS: I will list the measurements on these items. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to me. Below are the translations of my measurements.

Length: *note important to be sure that your child is standing straight up*

For a dress the length is measured from the armpit down to the bottom of the dress.

For pants/trousers the length is measured from inseam to the bottom of the garment.

For skirts, measure from the area where the skirt will sit to judge where it will fall based on the length measurement I provide or you give (on custom orders).

Sleeves: These measurements are used for long sleeves to determine if the sleeve length will work. For this I measure from the armpit to the bottom of the sleeve. On custom orders I will ask for sleeve measurements. All you need to do is have your child stand with his/her arm slightly parted from his/her side and measure from the armpit to the spot where the wrist meet the hand.

Waist: Most of my garments are elastic waist to guarantee the proper fit. I will provide the waist measurement, but note that the elastic stretches very well. You want the waist measurement of the skirt/pants to be exact or a tad smaller (for it to sit in place)

Inseam: Have your child stand straight up with legs slightly apart. Measure from the crotch area to top of foot for the inseam.

CUSTOM ORDERS: I will explain to you in detail the measurements needed in order to guarantee the proper fit of the item you are ordering.

To be eligible for the referral program you must make a purchase in the SewShellz store. The rules are simple:

1. Each referral must be a new individual (new) to Sew Shellz

4. You may not combine the discounts together. Sorry, they are one per purchase.
