Hi! My name is Valerie, I am the owner of Sew Trendy Accessories! I am 28, have a family of 2 beautiful little girls, and a very understanding, patient, loving (he's reading this right?) intelligent, and handsome husband - plus our newest addition, a sweet baby boy. I am a CRAFT-A-HOLIC. There, I said it! The first step is admitting your have a problem, right? Well this is one addiction I just can't cure! And why would I want to?!

We started out making over the top hair flowers, crochet booties, and other props, then one day my sweet Stacey from Baby Bare Photography said, hey Val, could you make a tight fitting lace dress for me for a shoot? I had been sewing for kind of a year (my sweet grandpa bought me a simple sewing machine as a baby shower gift) and had no idea how difficult sewing lace and stretchy knit was, but Can't just isn't in my vocabulary! So.. I did it! The rest is history!!!

Until February this operation was underground.. by underground I mean in my basement all by myself! SO imagine me in my unfinished basement..surrounded by 100 giant rolls of fabric.. in the dark.. at 4 AM... 20 dresses to make in 1 day, accounting, emails, social media, networking, kids, school, dance, AHHHH!!!!!! It finally got to the point that I just could not handle it all myself (not saying "Can't" here! I could to it.... it just wouldn't be pretty!)..SO I went on the hunt for some help!

As of October 2014 we have been in a warehouse managing business operations - I finally got to "live" in our new house without sew trendy taking over!! No more fabric exploding out of my front door!! I would literally have people picking thread off of me in the checkout isles lol needless to say it was a fabulous and much needed adjustment.

We now have 12 wonderful seamstresses (all but two are stay at home moms!), 7 fabulous crafters (also stay at home moms) and 10 outstanding employees in my warehouse( including my mom in law, father in law, and husband!), . I Love my little team! We SEW (see what I did there? :)) Enjoy helping each beautiful mama feel absolutely amazing on her special day, and are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with each of you!

Returns and exchange details
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

If you wish to return or exchange your gown, a return request must be submitted within 3 business days of delivery. When/if the return is approved, your confirmation email must be printed, filled out, and returned with the item(s). Item(s) sent to us without the form will be sent back to the client. We must receive the return tracking shipping number within 7 business days. The return tracking information can be placed in the tracking button at the bottom of your return approval email.

To be eligible for an exchange or return, the item must not be included on the ineligible item list below; it must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged, with no stains or alterations. In addition, be mindful of makeup, deodorant, pet hair, and strong smells (smoke, perfume, etc.), as these can make your item ineligible for return. IF the item is received and is not-accepted for any of the above reasons, Sew Trendy will return the item back to you at no cost. If the item is received and accepted, Sew Trendy will work with you to continue processing your refund via the payment method chosen, or exchange for new items per your request. You will receive an email with the decision and next steps.


ELIGIBLE ITEMS
Item(s) in Original Condition, Unwashed, Unworn {Please be mindful of pet hair, strong smells, smoke, deodorant, and makeup when trying on gowns, as these can make your item ineligible for return or exchange}
Request must be made within 3 business days of delivered tracking status


INELIGIBLE ITEMS

• Bodysuits
• Crowns of any type or size {flower crowns & rhinestone crowns}
• Tiebacks/Headbands of any type or size {flower tiebacks/headbands & rhinestone tiebacks/headbands}
• Sashes of any kind
• Accessories of any kind
• Jewelry of any kind
• Newborn Wraps, Newborn Backdrops, and any Newborn Clothing
• Items with custom selections (i.e. cut to length, mixed sizing, mixed/custom colors, XXL gowns)
• Items that have been worn/damaged
• Items received back to us outside of the 7 business day delivery date
• Items that arrived damaged/incorrect, and we were contacted outside of the 24 hour notification period

International orders are NOT eligible for return or exchange, please contact us with any questions or concerns at the email below.



ADDITIONAL DETAILS
• For refunds via original payment method, a 30% Restocking fee will be assessed to re-stock the item. This is of the item cost only and does not include shipping or rush fees.
• NO CHARGE for items returned for in store credit.
• NO CHARGE for exchanges
• Exchanges can be made for any item(s) in the store. If the total is less than the original item price, the difference will be refunded via gift card. If chosen item(s) is more, an invoice will be sent for the difference.
• Original shipping charges are non-refundable
• Rush fees are non-refundable
• Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges
• Standard processing time for exchanges is 7 business days from the business day after the return arrives at our warehouse. We may be able to make an exception, please submit the request anyway and we will do our best to assist.
• Please note gowns with a processing time of longer than 3 weeks or marked as no rush available will require the full processing time stated on the listing. Please contact us with questions.


RETURN DETAILS
If you wish to return your item and be refunded back via the original payment method, a 30% restocking fee will be deducted from the item total, this includes Ready to Ship items as well. The remaining balance will be sent back via the same method of payment used when ordering after the item has been received, inspected, and accepted. After the item has been accepted, the refund will be sent within 3 business days. We are not responsible for delays made by the bank in depositing your funds.

If you wish to return the item for in store credit NO Restocking fee will be assessed and you can use the credit at any time in the within 12 months from issue date. A gift card will be issued via email within 3 business days of the item being received, inspected, and accepted.

The client is responsible for shipping the item back to our warehouse. Shipping and Rush Processing Fees are non-refundable. If you choose to exchange, no restocking fee will be assessed.


EXCHANGE DETAILS
After submitting a request, and receiving confirmation from Sew Trendy that the exchange is approved, the client is responsible for the shipping cost to return the gown to our warehouse.

We allow one exchange per order with no additional processing fees and a 7 business day processing time*. We will cover the shipping cost back to the client on the first exchange as a courtesy. Additional exchanges are subject to our standard processing time of 3 weeks unless the rush processing fee is purchased.

*Please note gowns with a processing time of longer than 3 weeks or marked as no rush available will require the full processing time stated on the listing. Please contact us with questions.

Return shipping costs will be invoiced for additional exchanges after the initial exchange based on the weight and size of the items (sent priority mail). If you need faster shipping/processing, please let us know in advance (additional fees may apply).

The client may exchange their product for any items in our store, if the total cost is less than the original amount, the remaining balance will be provided via gift card to the client's email within 3 business days. If the exchange product is more expensive, Sew Trendy staff will send an invoice to collect the remaining balance. The invoice must be paid in order for us to continue processing the item.


QUALITY CONTROL
What do I do if my item is incorrect or damaged?

• Buyer must submit a return request within 24 hours if there is a problem with the product(s) quality (i.e. spots on the fabric or other physical damage missed in our quality inspection) or you received the incorrect item
• In the return reason, select damaged or incorrect item received; and do this within 24 hours of delivery of item or it is ineligible
• Include a description of the problem and your event date in the body of the email
• Email photos of the damage or incorrect item immediately to Sewtrendycustomerservice [!at] gmail.com with the order number in the subject line
• When the request and photos are received, and the issue is determined to be our mistake or damaged in transit, Sew Trendy will cover the shipping back to our warehouse and work with you to get a new item out before the event (if the time frame allows)
• If the damage is determined to be the fault of the buyer, Sew Trendy will cover the shipping costs to send the item back to you after inspection
• If the damage can not be determined digitally, we will request the buyer to send the item(s) back to us to visibly inspect it and work with the customer to resolve the issue per the guidelines above

CANCELLATIONS
We do not accept cancellations of orders. Once an order is placed, it is put into processing immediately.

It is important to note that Processing Time and Shipping Time are two very different things.


PROCESSING
You will find different processing times in our store, depending on the item, and the amount of time it takes for us to make it for you. Our processing times vary from 7 business days to 12 weeks. Some of our items offer a rush processing option, which will take the item down to a 7 business day processing, with a fee. Please see more information on Rush Processing below.

We have many items marked Ready To Ship, or RTS. This means these items are already made and do not need processing time. They will leave our warehouse and ship out to the buyer within 1-3 business days of purchase.


RUSH PROCESSING
With the Rush Processing option, you can pay a fee to have your item made faster, if you are soon approaching your deadline. The processing time is adjusted down to 7 business days, and covers the cost of the seamstress to complete the item weeks ahead of schedule. This is in no way related to Shipping or Rush Shipping...only Processing of the item. Shipping costs are in addition to the rush processing fee. Please note that holidays are not included in the 7 business days as our office and production staff are off to be with their families, and the company will be closed. Please plan accordingly! Rush processing fees are non-refundable.

Once your package has left our facility, it is out of our hands and in the hands of the carrier. Unfortunately we do not have control over what the carrier does with your package. All claims for packages must go through the carrier chosen during checkout. Please see below for information on late packages.

NOTE EXPRESS SHIPPING ORDERS: There have been situations where the package has taken several days longer than scheduled to reach the client. This can be due to weather, or other unforseen events in your region. These events are completely out of our control. We are not responsible for late packages due to weather issues, customs delays, acts of terrorism, etc. If returned these items will be subject to our standard return/exchange policies.

CUSTOMS • INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
In some cases, there will be VAT or other taxes, customs duties or fees levied by your destination country. Additional charges for taxes or customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs and taxation policies vary widely from country to country. You should contact your local customs office for further information. **When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.**

We are unable to list items as a gift, or write an amount lower than the actual product price on customs forms as it is illegal. If you wish to have the boxes broken up into multiple shipments to avoid customs fees, additional charges will apply.


LATE PACKAGES
If your package does not arrive on time DUE TO OUR ERROR (i.e. it shipped late, or incorrect shipping method), Sew Trendy will refund your purchase after the items are sent back, received in by our warehouse, and inspected. A request must be submitted via the return/exchanges link within 7 business days of delivery. If the item is lost by USPS (NO DELIVERED STATUS) and is not delivered after 7 days of opening a case with USPS, we will refund the purchase and continue the investigation. If the package is showing delivered and the address was correct, and you do not have your item, it is the responsibility of the buyer to contact USPS to file a claim as it is then considered a stolen package. Please keep in mind that once the packages are dropped at the post office, they are out of our hands, please plan ahead!

PHOTO USE
The use of photos from our photographers and clients for commercial use is prohibited unless authorized by the owner of the company AND the photographer. These sessions are provided exclusively for Sew Trendy™. This includes dresses for hire and distributing companies. These companies are required to set up their own photo sessions with the gowns for their marketing purposes. Violation of this policy will result in immediate termination of any partnership and possible legal action.
